The first thing Noogie did when I brought him home was dive into the kitchen and break out the pots and pans. A music prodigy in the making... -plugs ears- :?

Aaaand with the eggs going in minutes, I think next Monday I will either up the egg count to 5 for a limited time only, or (and/or?) bump the eligible date to 'haven't claimed an egg in two weeks' instead of one. XD I'd like to have a wider time-frame where people have a chance to adopt so that it's not swarmed and taken right away!

Maybe I'll adopt one egg at a time throughout the day? XD

Or maybe take a list of people interested in one, and cycle through them until everyone has one :D

That could work, too. X3 Maybe I'll do that for the Nexus round and keep the LJ version the same as it has been for the last bit.

So, who doesn't have a Didra Gon yet but would still like one? I'll make a list and pass eggs around until everybody has one. :)

It will probably take a couple of weeks to pass these out (since I'll still be giving 'em away 3 at a time!) but if you manage to sneak one in the Monday slots, that's okay too. ^_^ I'll just be handing out the next couple of Friday batches out in the order that you guys have put a note in that you'd like one!

If it'll be a couple of weeks, I'm gunna say I'm interested.

*tickles tummies*

[Gunna be madly busy till the 10th June or so though, so *should* mine roll around before then, bump it to the 13th?]

I've been lurking and having a lot of fun reading about the misadventures of everyone's Didra Gons. I wouldn't mind one of my own at some point. =)

Oh yeah! I plan on giving away about three eggs a week for the forseeable future. :) Once people start getting adults old enough for breeding, I'll ween the wilds away and replace them with bred babies... but this will be an ongoing 'adventure' for as long as anybody's still willing to answer questions (and I still have templates ready to go. X3)

Which is completely kickass, and I love you for it, Dray =P

You make me antsy for every Friday and Monday now, to answer questions for my little Kamaeli.

Dude, you have no idea. XD I make me antsy because I know who's close to 'popping' (aka evolving) and I keep hoping that they'll answer the right question to send their pet up a level.

And I have so many templates left to draw. Somewhere in the realm of 145 once you get to Tier 3? XD And once you hit that tier, you can keep evolving into more bad-ass critters... but that's not going to happen for months, so thankfully I have some time to work on templates!

It's that special time again!

Because I want everybody who's interested to get at least one of these little guys, I'll be going down the list and posting eggs as people have asked for them (so long as they don't have one already.) That way, if you want doubles (or triples, etc) you can try for them in the Didra Gon LJ Community without feeling like you're stepping on fellow Nexiians' toes. X3

For the people listed below, you have 24 hours to claim your egg (by answering the egg-claim question below.) If you can't claim your egg by about 10:30 am -- or whenever I get on the Nexus -- tomorrow, I'll pass the egg(s) on to the next person on the list, etc. X3 Don't worry, if you missed out by accident, I'll put you back up on the list for next week! You did ask first, after all!

Kamaeli decides to take up a small section of the back yard to create a zen garden, of a sort. She seems to have found the perfect use for all that sea glass she picked up before, using them as the stones, and creating an abstract swirl with the blue, white, and clear glass, and edging it with the green and red she found.

She had to ask me for help, but together we ran a small stream through the garden, and she arranged some of her pretty shells along the bottom, so that the water would shine with color when looked at from the right angle, and make a soft noise as it flowed over and around some of the larger shells. She decided that the stream should wind through the garden, falling into several small pools along the way, before the water is cycled back up to the top where it starts in a deep, medium sized pool. She also decided to add koi to the pond, and chose four little babies, a black and orange one, a black and light blue one, a white, orange, and black one, and a white, orange and red one. She seems to have went out of her way to find the really fancy ones, because all the ones she chose had the really shiny scales that glitter in the sunlight.

Now, so long as the herons and otters stay away...

Kiryu immediately grabs up the clay. At first he just kinda mashes it around (making a mess) but he eventually starts shaping animals along with small bowls and cups which he fills with water and cat food for the animals and... makes an even bigger mess.

I offered to help him make a real mug to keep, but he's very stubborn and insisted on doing it himself. He then presented me a lopsided, chunky little mug that might hold enough for a mouthful of drink. He tried to get me to drink out of it before it dried, but I politely declined. XD;

Nate has created a veritable army of tiny clay sculptures in shapes of various animals, dragons, and dinosaurs. Now he appears to be having a great time enacting battles and sudden, but inevitable, betrayals. :D

We had a rock climb wall installed in the yard, you know. The cheetahs didn't like it much, but some of the flamingodragons perch around on the little ledges.

And then this morning, I walk out to look for Mookie and he's ... surrounded the thing with a fort - I mean a FORT - complete with drawbridge and towers and rope ladders.... All made of macaroni. I do believe he has this thing with food products. First it was the marshmallow creme, and now this... Fortunately I think he raided someone else's pantry for the raw materials, I am allergic to wheat and I'm positive my spelt macaroni is still in the cupboard.

I don't think the fort will support my weight, but Mookie sure likes to scramble around in it.

***

Update - the next day half of the fort was eaten. Another third of it was disassembled and made into a rube goldberg cheetah-frightening device that led from about half the yard away, up to the remnants of the fort...

When craft time came around, Maki requested clay. I offered him a block of clay, but that wasn't good enough for him, oh no, he needed a bigger block of clay. After breaking the bank to buy him the amount of clay he wanted, the little guy set about making a clay sculpture the likes of which I've never seen. I'm still not sure what it is, it almost looks like he was trying to create his own climbing wall/jungle-gym, but whatever it is, it's about three times his height and sitting out in the back-yard. I just hope it's warm enough out there to at least partially bake it so it doesn't fall apart. The way he keeps climbing all over it leaving little Maki footprints it's not going to last very long unless it firms up! XD

On this point, Squish and I are in perfect harmony (ha ha ha). Though I don't have a lot of classic rock in my collection, he discovered what I did have and started his own collection!

I am so glad I have that nice big subwoofer; we shake the house! I think the neighbors hate us though.
