lol yeah, well, I tend to over-dramatize sometimes. I actually took out a lot of 'details' because I thought it may be too much. *shrugs* Hope you like...they both had rather long stories (though you really don't need to read Naara's Search but still...)

*goes back to drawing these two characters* I really should page some dragons, not draw...

At this rate I think the deadline will be pushed back to sometime after the 25th anyways -- I don't think I'll be able to do the bonding RP before my brother's wedding!

Well that's a relief! XD I just sifted through the thread looking for a due date and was going to wail and moan if it had been firmly set at the 18th... XD I've got a story in the works...well, I've got the idea firmly set and a whopping three sentences written! And now I'm back at work which means less time to write and most likely more inspiration for writing... XD Here's hoping I can hold onto the inspiration for those rare moments when I can actually write a bit...

Thanks for pushing the deadline back!

Hahaha, no worries! It wasn't an act of charity. I'd have a hell of a time trying to enforce a deadline while out partyin' with the family. Seriously, so looking forward to my brother finally getting hitched. I haven't had my whole family in one place at one time in something like eight years. But it is going to put a crimp in my dragoning style for a week or two, depending on the internet situation out in the Gulf Islands.

Do you want help with setting up a role play room? It's been a long time, so we should poke around and see about how to get that going, if you're wanting to go renaissance with the oldschool bondings. There's the RP itself, recovery time, and actual bonding story to write, after all!

(Also, I want to write more for Orlinton and... if I can manage it, squeeze out a couple more candidates for you. I heart Avens so damned much.)

Dray, I'm going to optimistically say I don't think I'll need the help. I may not be quite as full of piss and vinegar as I was in my teenage day, but by golly, I'll handle one day of crazy roleplay and one story written! Hahaha, I may need help finding somewhere to hold the chat, though.

So...how many characters do you need? All chats have a character limit...it's just a matter of setting it to a reasonable value...

And I've been working on a new chat (because the old one is no longer supported) that since I know some php now is much easier for me to update...

So...name your character limit? XD

Xalia, oh gosh. For bondings I can end up making really long posts. Erring on the safe side, I'd say about 3000. If you could come up with a new chat, that would be quite awesome! :o

I would love to have a chance to read through the other candidates that are going to be showing up before the RP starts! I wouldn't be completely averse to making some introductions between characters during the RP... it's been a long time since I've had any characters who actually HAVE connections in the Nexus aside from my other characters!

Okay, I've got it all set up to take 4000 characters max...if that's not enough I'll be shocked... XD

It's still pretty basic looking because I like the msn smileys (more options) and I haven't bothered to figure out what I want to do in regards to the rest of the layout...but, it should work for chatting and RPing! Hope that fits your purposes!

Asher is here, Dray. I am tweaking his story (just editing since things always miss my eyes when I go through it)

And he should be brown-haired, bot blond. He was too much like Philippe so I changed that about him. And another bigger reason but that was one.

I also want to read other people's characters...the RPG will be strange for me...I've never done it, really. Okay, once, but I don't remember who that was for (Jarel, maybe...*blinks*) Ages ago, either way. lol

Is there any way to increase the number of back-posts visible too? I recall previous bonding RPs, there were a looooot of posts and it would take me a while to get back to everyone. And do messages disappear forevar once they fall off the screen?

Hmm...I may have to do more playing around with it...I only just noticed that it doesn't scroll...that won't work at all for RPing!

I probably won't get to it today and likely not tomorrow either, but will probably be able to fix it up on Monday for sure...

If nothing else I know there's a command that let's you download past posts...I'll do some research though...

Edit: Well, I'm in there talking to Yakima and it's scrolling just fine...I think you just get a full page of back posts when you log in, but as long as you stay logged in you should be able to scroll back a ways...I'll still look into how many it displays before it starts deleting them though...

I have to say, I'm super pumped for the RP. Writing candidates (or sprucing up the two that were left at Sanctuary that hadn't bonded yet XD) is going to be a lot of fun, too!

(This is my durpy contribution for the morning. To make it a little less durpy, thank you Xalia for putting the chat room together! Can you make new rooms for chatting in? Maybe we could have an IC room and an OOC room to chatter while JKat's writing?)

I totally want to do character interactions as well....if I can finish the character I'm working on she /so/ won't want to hang out with the character I have already there... XD And neither of my characters are the type to stand around by themselves waiting for the dragons to show up either!

I'm all for a pre-RP RP if we want to put something together!

Oh...and I haven't had a chance to investigate the chat yet...will probably do so in a couple hours here...

Shard, the RP isn't necessary! You can send me in a bonder and be absent from the RP and still get something. :) It's just there for people who want it -- and to help me figure out who gets what, lol!

Xalia, the deadline is September 1st, but if I don't get in here and call it immediately (I will probably be in transit at that point) there may be some wiggle room in there. Maybe. If you're lucky. XD

and we should link to the new site, I am guessing, as the rules page still has the artdragon address for the link
