Art Trades?

I can put out one more before bed, since I'm tired. Then more later. ^^;; And if people wanna do multiple pictures or someone wants to repeat what someone else is doing, the more the merrier. <3 Fanart! :D

Mahariel (No sketch for this one, it'll have to be purely description and artistic interpretation.) ^^;

Mahariel, or Mahi as he is sometimes called, appears to be mostly human at first glance. His skintone is a little pale - only lightly tanned, and his ears are slightly pointed. (Not to the extent of an elf, but maybe like....a half-elf or heck, if you've seen Star Trek, a Vulcan. ^_~) His eyes are a silvery color, while his hair is a sort of mid-shade of blue, with darker tips near the bottom, and lightly tips around his face, almost resembling a gradient of sorts. He keeps his hair long, falling to around his lower back, but he usually keeps it in a loose ponytail of sorts (but not always).

Mahariel is the Angel of Honor, and as such, he does indeed have feathered wings, which are entirely black. He often carries a sword, styled much like a katana, which can sometimes be found sheathed at his side, if he's carrying it. His style of dress varies, but his duties as Honor often dictate a bit of fighting, so he'll occasionally wear a light armor, but prefers looser, more robe-like clothing. Of course, with no samples, you can draw him wearing whatever the hell you want. ^_~

This is one of those 'leave open to artistic license' ones. ^^

O.o Just wondering... would you prefer finished images, or how about something more like a character reference sheet? >.O I suck at shading things in photoshop, but if you don't mind something more monotoned (or even cel-shaded, though that'd look like crap, too), I can probably pull that off. o_o'' My pencil crayons are hidden in the depths of my closet, or I'd attempt to pull something off with 'em!

Uh... *thinking* Of the dragon septet, which are the most important? Or are they all of equal importance? X3 *still brainstorming, procrastinating*

I don't really have a preference, anything is fun. ^.^

And as for the dragons, they're all basically equal in standing and importance. ^^;

Alright, I decided to give Mahariel a try, since my dragon-skeelz are weak at the moment. XD I only have him half-done right now (Had to scan him in before I covered over those man-legs! :O) but I plan on finishing him off with some arm-guards and robes, and ofcourse some feathery-wings. ^_^'

I wasn't sure if he had bangs or not, or if chestplates and shoulder (both wing and arm) guards were a bit much... but I wanted to give it a try! XD Woot for trying to combine regular pressed leather armor with samurai funky-stuff!

Let me know what you think, and if there's anything in particular you want changed!

XDD Glad you like! Anything that needs changing, then, or can I keep working on it? (Any more info-splooge, like how long his robes might be, if he wears sandals vs. shiny-clumpy-boots... uh... if he has any symbols that relate to him... A halo? That's all I can think of to ask atm. X3)

I'd say....yes to sandals, 'pretty long' to robes, no to symbols, and a halo? Not really, as far as I can think. ^^;; But artistic license in your friend, he doesn't have a strict character design yet so whatever you think looks good. :D

Adaro

Adaro is, quite literally, a genius. He is incredibly intelligent, and skilled in the arts of strategy, as well as theivery. He dressed as a nobleman might, clean and dignified, but he controls one of the largest underground crime networks in his region. (Equivalent of like...the top mafia boss type thing. ^_~) Both his hair and eyes are brown, and his hair is kept somewhat short, though it's still a bit longer than the normal style (maybe falling a bit lower than his shoulders), and it is kept loose, though well taken care of (not messy). Adaro is human. ^_~ (If you haven't picked up by some descriptions, among humans in my setting, the noble males wear their hair longer than commoners might, as a small sign of status, though the exact length depends on the preference of the individual.)

Thaddius

Thaddius is a reknowned barkeeper, as well as a powerful wizard. So depending on his 'job' of the moment depends on his style of dress. When he's caring for his inn and tavern, the Red Ferret, his clothes are more plain and common, but if he's meeting with fellow wizards, he wears robes. Thaddius has golden-blonde hair, kept short, and also has a small goatee-like beard. (One of my few characters that actually has facial hair.) His eyes are blue, and he wears small glasses when studying his magical tomes. His familiar is, actually, a ferret with reddish-auburn fur (yes, he named the bar after his familiar) who can often be found on his shoulder. Thaddius is human.

Griffith

Griffith carries himself with pride and dignity. He is a prince, and certainly acts like one. His hair is black, with a silky, almost wispy quality, and he keeps it fairly long, always tied back in a braid that ends between his shoulder blades. (Something like Ed's hairstyle from Fullmetal Alchemist, at least in the sense of its length.) His eyes are a curious aqua-cyan-like color. His skin is unusually pale. He prefers to wear dark colors, and generally wears somethign with a high collar. One particularly noteworthy trait is that Griffith is a vampire. So he would have somewhat visible fangs. ^_~ Otherwise, all of his remaining traits appear human.

I drew a sketch of Thad already- it's going to be really fun- he's got his back turned in the picture, but his personality is going to be defined by the books and wands and herbs and all that fun stuff- oh, and one of those bottles where the inside and the outside are the same side- in the sketch, it looks like a masturbating swan, though- must fix that. I can scan in the sketch and show you if you want, though...

Caffeine is a wonderful thing- makes me type fast and use hyphens oh- so- much. WheeeeeeeeE!

By motif do you mean a flame pattern or is that just the color theme?

He's going up on my wing's dragon-picture wall after I scan him.

Gah, I didn't realize I missed a question here. Asha, for that, I actually don't know. You can interpret that however you see fit. ^^;;

And for everyone else, a brfief bump, I'll be adding somemore people to this list, and also get started on some of the trade stuff since I have a chance for a couple days. :D
