The next clutch can't have Pernese characters in it, actually, Unyko. (The FGPC accepts elves, dwarves, wizards, ect. also, not just Pernese characters.

) The AEC (which stands for All-Earth Clutch) is for Earth candidates only. You can make up characters or send in yourself (which is how the whole thing got started, actually. The first AEC was originally for people to send in themselves as candidates. Cynte at Falas Weyr is actually me and my sister is there, too.)

Hey, question - can I use myself (from that first clutch) as the search rider for my next trio?

I have a great idea for em already and have nice dollz from that doll wizard site set up. But their story will need a little more personal touching ... er, touch, from me *as I would be apt* to be, if I had a dragon and was allowed to use it.

Hell, if anyone else wants to use Lethe as a search rider ... heh...

I suppose...maybe one of the listed search riders from the OWST could come with you. J'kem (K'man's son) usually searches alone so he would be available to search with you. *shrug*

Am I behind on anyone still? I updated Chathy, Pho/Y'ral, Lainra and K'ryn, got everything up on T'dal (thanks for the reminder because I'd forgotten that was his name... o.o and therefore forgot to even bother with his page), I need to do the Carramba guy, haven't gotten him up yet. Anyone else I'm dreadfully behind on?

If you haven't noticed, I've put up a deadline for the AEC clutch. Hopefully it is plenty of time for everyone and me (the county fair will be done by then as well as the Double M show we want to go to.)

*pokes thread to top for a moment* Just making sure people are still plotting for this (the All-Earth Clutch). I can/will extend deadlin if I must. I prefer stories on this clutch because it's like a mini-frenzy.

Just a reminder, there is less then two weeks for the All-Earth Clutch. Are people still planning on sending candidates in; should I extend the deadline; or should I cancel this as an online event? (I have a plot twist set for it and will go through with it even if all the characters are my own NPCs...though, I don't like that idea...*sighs*)

Remember, you can send in yourself or a friend or a made up person. I greatly prefer stories for this clutch - dons't have to be long but I use the stories to determine color and if they could have a night or light dragon - or combinations like bronzed green or golden green. Candidates can be from anywhere in the world (meaning Earth, obviously

). The more realistic the story is, the better you'll get (there are no rares other then those varations I mentioned above). I currently have four candidates in the clutch and will bump or throw in some twins/triplets (time to see just how much like Flynnth my little Phally is!

)

So, yay, nay...maybe so...extension on deadline...wait for me, I'm coming! ...*blinks*

Oh, and there has been an addition to the Off-World Search Wing/Team...Aheya and green Mindath (of the Weyr), are also new recruits. I needed a female rider so the guys snagged her and found out Mindath is able to make it off Pern and through time with ease. Just remember that you can't use Philippe - he's off trying to kill himself on Sentra at this time...heh

I'm very new to this whole earth-clutch thing! Do you want us to write candidates getting searched? XD I haven't written a candidate for a pernese style clutch in many years... so I'm very rusty! Do you have any hints or suggestions or pointers to certain links that you could share?

Most of the time, search stories start a bit before the actuall search. Then they are searched and taken to the Weyr. If you look through the riders from the previous AEC (http://www.fgpc-weyrhall.wolf-mage.com/ ... 01_03.html) you can see what people did last time. Most of those riders are the creators themselves.

For this clutch, the serach riders try to blend into society (M'len and Philippe never seemed to do this very well...and I think most of the time it was Philippe who messed up though it's been a while since I read the search stories for the fist AEC). There dragons have collars on them so they shrink to the size of a firelizard, allowing them to hide in backpacks and jackets (or get into a lot more trouble then if there were there normal size!

) Once they decide on a potential candidate, they will confront them and ask them, either breaking there intentions bluntly or trying to soften the realization that Pern is real and so are dragons. [If you are unsure which searchrider would break the news in a certian way, you can ask...] Candidates really don't need to pack a lot when going - the Weyr will provide all they need. But, for those that can't live without that certian shirt or laptop, ect, they can pack.

Now, last time, I had some very interesting stories on the leaving Earth part. Some people actually died, some simply left there families, in secret or in tearful goodbyes. How you/they end up leaving Pern is enterly up to you. Of course, if the candidates die on Earth to come to Pern, I kinda expect them to be staying on Pern.

And remember, Falas is connected to the Nexus so any agency you run is accesable once you/they Impress. Also, you can always beg a rider for a trip to visit said agencies!

Thanks, Houka Ryuu! I wonder how many more beach candidates will be coming to Falas for this clutch *pokes her own beach boy, Ishmael...who might get a name change...hmmm* I found a few minor 'errors' in the story but they happen so no biggy. If you want to know what they are you can PM me otherwise I'm not worried because I know you're new to this.

Though, when I have Clutch Preferance in the form, it means which clutch you want to be in (meaning Phalinths, Kalumyth, Annerisceth, or Anaroreth's...I know it's the All-Earth Clutch

hee) If you have no preferance of which clutch you want, you can just leave it blank.

*cackles and claps* Ohh, I think I have an idea for a story, Yakima!

You said that M'len is taking Tayenden on Search this time around, right? M'len is going to be more reserved than usual, and Tayenden is gonna kind of be the newbie of the pair? How is Tay' going to cover up his elf-ears and the like, or does he have some sort of spell to help him blend in?

I hope I can get this written up in nine days... it seems like it'd be a fun story to write, but work has got my, uh, nose in a vice and likes to drain me of any creative energy these days! *crosses fingers!*

Heh, yeah, M'len isn't going to be as enthusiastic as he usually is with Philippe and Tay has searched other worlds a bit but not on Earth.

As for blending in, it depends on there situation, too. In my search story (which took place in winter), Philippe and M'len just wore there riding jackets...Philippe wore a bright red santa hat he found along the way, too. Often they have backpacks to carry maps and stuff...Jesioth likes to hide in the backpack M'len has and take naps while Philippe and M'len argued where to go next and such. Aeleth will probably hide closer to Tayenden if not in Tay's pack. As for hiding elf ears...*snickers* Philippe never really tries to cover this up though Tay knows a bit of magic so he can probably use an illusion spell or hope his long hair hides his ears a bit.

I'm probably going to extend the deadline as I haven't even started writting some of mine yet and others probably need it. Might extend it by two weeks. I feel your pain, my two jobs and horse have me pretty drained most times.

The AEC deadline has been pushed back to September 9th on account of other requests to move it and my own lack of time to work on my own candidates for it. Hope this helps a few people out. I would rather have a handful (though a full candidate list is always nice

)of good candidates then a bunch of thrown-together ones.

*...and when J'kem returns to Falas, his father learns of this little adventure and promptly assigns him to work with the green rider, Aheya!* *smirk* Very cute, Shard, though I was confused in the beginning with the Sun, Moon, Star thing...couldn't keep who was who straight. *major applause* You played out J'kem fine though, being new to Searching, I later paired him with Aheya, who may also be new but older and able to keep him under control.

He's K'man's son and is very proud of that. The one thing I advise fixing before Keemth bites you is that he is a storm color, not blue.

To call Keemth blue would be placing him in 'the same category as his four unsophisticated siblings...them being Katrith, Natrith, Rednachith, and Tiraenth.

Other then changing Keemth color to 'storm', you're fine. At first I thought the thing about J'kem not being around for the first AEC was wrong but you were right - I checked my timelines. As much of a pain as they are to keep up-to-date, they are handy for stuff like this. Though, being the son of a Wingleader, he probably knows enough about that. [M'len probably made sure everyone searching for this had a clue on what was going on when they got to earth.

Boy, do I miss writing Philippe's purposefully stupidity. *smirk* Alas! my wonderful elf is off trying to get himself killed. The moron....]

Okay, back to my story, eh. Can't wait to read other peoples stories...*must get my stories done for people who like a bit of idea of how my searchriders act, eh...er...Tay's little mishap is becoming sooo much fun...Poor kid is kinda leery about women/girls and he has one ogling him...*smirk*

I hope you all don't think I'm being to harsh about the stories 'cause I know there are a lot of nitty-gritty stuff you don't know about. As long as I don't see anyone using Philippe as a Search Rider, I'll be happy. I have them all in pairs for safer searching, though. [the one I'm writting about with Tay being alone happens after M'len returns to Sentra to find Philippe...later Tay also leaves the Search to find M'len at K'man's orders. Small dragons get important jobs, I think.] Tay will search a bit by himself before K'man has him go find M'len so you can write a bit about poor Tay on his own. He knows what he's doing, he just lacks confidence without M'len there and knowing Philippe is probably in big trouble.
