Anyway, back to the topic *whistles innocently*
XD What? Am I one of the few males around here that uses emotes? {snickers}
One of the few males period. The only as far as I know besides the esteemed owner of the domain. Now that Shiolar has left us...

Anyway back on topic I talked to my friend who is in the airforce, and he said that being diagnosed with bipolar disorder is not a disqualifying factor by any means. He wasn't sure about the ankle thing though, and said you should talk to a recruiter and get a straight answer. Still, according to him, there is hope :)

Keep in mind I dont post here often, I still dont 100% know what you girls do.

And also the whole bipolar thing, when I was in the seperation barracks (the place they put you between basic and sending you home) 80% of everyone there was code 311, which means their problem is mental (I was one of the few who got a 307, meaning physical problem HA! not i'm insane!) and many of the 311 people were bipolar, Yes its true it dosn't mean you will be disqualified, but if you get discharged for something like that, it dosn't look good.

I mean one kid I met there who I think was bipolar tried to jab a pen into his jugular.

...shit i'm really bad at this forum thing. I'm seriously not trying to discourage you... Bah, dont listen. Ok i'm 311 now... Damn you girls turned me insane... and I WILL CONTINUE TO CALL YOU ALL GIRLS BECAUSE I DONT WANT TO SAY "You girls (and one guy named fuzzy)..."

My bipolar disorder tends towards emotional outbursts, such as unfortunately you guys have seen on the forums. -_-; It's not just here, it's just... That's why I was diagnosed as bipolar. I'm not suicidal, I'm not homicidal, and what few aggressive tendencies I had toward others before I've managed to get under control.

I say that bipolar IS disqualifying because I spoke to one of the advisors on the Air Force website and they said that it was. :P When I get stressed or hormonal, I tend to get emotional, but I'm by no means psychotic. So...yeah, they're still looking through my medical and psychiatric records.

So we'll see, I really need to call the recruiter tomorrow to see what's come about. Before Tuesday, as that's when I was supposed to go take the ASVAB.
Still gaming? Take a look at Atonement RPI.

I believe I went through this conversation when I joined.

Okay, firsty: congrats, well done and good luck.
2nd: I hate you. :lol:

j/k, but I do envy you.
When a I took the ASVAB a couple years back, still after the last major reform to the 99 scale, I got a freaking 99. I don't mean to toot my own horn or anything but come on, a perfect has to count for something. I'd have loved to go into the AF--literally killed for it --, my dream since I was a wee one. But noooooo, my mother had to bring her stupid Marfans into the family pool...

Anywhoo, getting off me soapbox here, grats to you as well as luck/blessings; be sure to take advantage of the mightyly impressive health coverage and HIGHHHWWWAY TO THE DANGERZONE!!!!!!!!!!! 8)
