Na that's ok you're not stupid. I've long given up explaining dragoning to my RL friends ... it's a crazy hobby, the one we've got here :P

is bonding when your dragon is partnered with another dragon instead of a candidate?

Bonding is when a dragon creates a strong connection with another sentient being. Even a broom... if it has a mind and a way of caring for the dragon. Or else the dragon might bond the broom and someone who can care for it.

One form of bonding is dragon to dragon, yes. It is also bonding between a human and a dragon. Or a telekinetic penguin and a dragon. <3
