I was paying attention. However, I'll draw your attention to several key points:
1) I can't sleep when it's light.
2) I require eight hours sleep per day in order to function correctly.
3) The hours of darkness around here currently number only 5.5 hours per night.
4) I'm really, really stupid when I haven't had enough sleep.

I'll go upload AIM for you, shall I?

Solution: Get curtain liners.

Could ya? Thanks. Thing won't let me log on, and I hate the new version anyway. *sighs*

We already have curtain liners. They don't block out enough light. When I said I can't sleep when it's light, I'm serious... I'm really, really sensitive to high light levels...

I'll just keep going until I get so exhausted that I have to sleep when it's light... I usually have to take several days off work just for that purpose a couple times every summer...

You could take some cardboard boxes and put them in your windows. That's what my brother did.

Can't. Would have to drill holes in the wall and stuff. I'd rather miss sleep than cut the value of the house...

oy. Now Aim gets to step three before it says 'fuck you bitch' and won't let me log in.

But... I have 1337 steps in FF6 now

For cardboard boxes? My brother used packing tape and they held just fine. If that doesn't work then you could use some sticky stuff you can find at the store. Though sadly. I' forgot what it's called.

I meant for Merc's suggestion of boards...

Cardboard boxes would be too heavy to stick up with the crappy tape we get over here... tried cardboard boxes before, you see.

What we did once was pin a sleeping bag up to the window, but it had to be held up with snooker cues and old table legs. Unfortunately, due to the size of the bedroom, such a method now would require not having a bed in there.

Wasn't insulting your intelligence... It's something I do all the time after a reformat, though... I forget the password to my AIM s/n, so I can't get back into it and have to create a new one.

I guess the other option is something's blocking the connection from AIM to AIM's server. You got a firewall or anything running?

It would appear so, yes... You should have made it out of something a little more durable.

That would defeat the point of being a stick!

A leather clad Sanger comes in and hoses down the whole lot.

x.x Yup, 'updating' stuff seems to just make it worse... additions just seem to bog the original elements of the proggie down. Such a pain sometimes. Usually just quit out of the optional updates window that pops up nowadays, anyhow... considering most of it's for things I /never/ use anyways. XD
