O.o Oooh, those look really cool! More pseudo-gryphons, yay!

Cy, I was looking at the info page, and couldn't find anything beyond the fact that stories are required. Is there any info that I'm missing, like what kind of stories, or how you'd prefer they get to the clutch, or whatever?

(>_> Posting as Dray, from Kat's comp yet again. D:)

Nope, they can come to Holic by whatever means, and they don't have to be searched. Some clutches won't require stories. For this one, I said it was important to know a story needed to be written because a stat page won't do, personalities are important. Short, one paragraph stories will be overshadowed by longer stories. Unless they're like. Really good one paragraph stories XD

..That i find mildly insulting, except not really. I actually spend more time on my personality section then my stories, even with minor characters~
Course, i'm not good with stories, so i rarely spend time on them.

but yeah. Ennis, Mist, and Bancha all stand as proof to that insanity. :/ I'd send you one of them, but the only one I feel like writing for is bancha, and he's otherwise occupied at SR. -rolls- which is good, i suppose, because otherwise i'd be procrastinating on my paper. like i'm doing now, whee~

>:3 So can I try to write a really good one-paragraph-er? I'm taking that as a challenge (which I'm not expecting to win, spectacularly, but shh. X3)

Woot, must write! :D

Argh, I've gotten an idea.
;^; curse my tendency to procrastinate! and avoid sleep when dead tired.
._.

how high rated stories will you take? I might toss you one you one of my pirate captains, but she has a dirty mouth. or i might send you someone else, if you dislike that~

X3 Hee hee. I hope you don't mind, Cy, but I'm going to be writing a couple of blurbs based from the prompt table here:

http://community.livejournal.com/oc_art100/1061.html

(I'm just picking a random number and writing a bit for it, and seeing if a plot develops from there! :O)

^_^ Yay, story-blurbs. XD I want to make candidates, each based off of one prompt. That'd be fun!

That's fine Dray =]

DNS, anything goes with me. Trust me XD You can write about whateeeever you want to ^_^ And don't feel insulted, I know a lot of people [myself included] work hard on stats and such, but I'd prefer to see how the characters interact with other people for this clutch, since some of these mutts are... interesting =]

Cy, I'm assuming that DJ City is kind of like a Metropolis. Is there any specific info that you have in mind that I can leech off of you for story purposes? Where can our characters find your clutch, and how can we have them get in on it? Are there any points of interest in the city? I think a thriving nightlife is a given, but how's the... well, the 'day-life'? XD

DJ City is pretty much the center of planet Holic. It's on Monster Centralis, the main continent, and is right in the center of it.

It originated with the dragonry, originally a base for those with power-hungry minds, but has come a long way since then. The dragonry is located in the middle of the city, a large, dome-shaped chrome building, with many levels and balconies and openings. Similar to a giant hive.

The city popped around around the dragonry, and is similar to oh... say... Tokyo. Lots of electronics, crazy people, and very little space. Full of skyscraper buildings with completely unrelated companies in them and streets even worse than New York, in more ways than one.

The city is pretty mild during the day, those who are responsible or not a true DJ City resident hustle about to their jobs and the crime rate is low. Just watch out for the speeding hover-taxis. During the night is when everyone shows their true colors, if they're a worker, or wakes up, if they're a partier.

DJ City has pretty much everything. Themeparks, indoor at that. Malls. Corporations. Schools. Schools for normal kids, schools for super kids, schools for magic kids, schools for kids who wish they weren't normal.

To get in on the clutch, you pretty much just have to show up at the Dragonry. I don't have him paged yet, but Galileo and his cyber dragon are the lead there. Galileo is a weathered seaman, very noble, and while he's lax on rules, he has strong morals. He has a son, named Kronyk, who doesn't have a draon at this time, and he has a soft spot for orphans, no matter their age [which is why he often hires Cy and her cousins Kismet and Astrid to planet-hop for him]. He's unmarried, his wife died when Kronyk was 8. He rarely leaves the dragonry, and can often be found on the balcony overlooking the hatching grounds, since that's the central part of the dragonry and looks out over other areas as well. He's got salt and pepper hair and blue eyes, and sun-bronzed skin. A little on the chubby side. He's friendly and willing to talk to anyone, and he often offers shelter for a few days, whether it be in the dragonry itself or in one of his large hotels that he runs =]

If there is anything specific-er you want to know, just ask =]

X3 Wooh, that answers a lot! I noticed in the links-section that you have a 'north side beach'--is that visible from above the city, at, say, dragon-flight level? Is the city in a mountainous region or is it more flat-plains style?

@ Dray: Monster Centralis is shaped similar to Africa.

To the North-west, you have The Outlands, a very desert like place, full of gambits, casinos, sand pirates and the general rough crowd. To the

North-east is North Shore Beach, which I doubt would be visable from DJ City due to the size of the continent, you'd have to have a dragon with zoom vision. North Shore Beach is similar to Hollywood, as it's where most of the famous and rich people live. Very snooty, very exclusive. The beach is private, though it is on maps.

South of DJ City is Old Town, another exlusive town, this one for Old Worlders! Yay! While outsiders may enter the city, you won't be treated with the respect and friendliness that Old World dragon riders are given. There isn't really much of interest there unless you're into artsy craftsy stuff.

South-east of Old Town is the A-Z Mountain range that divides the very southern part of the continent from the rest of the continent.

On the other side of the A-Z Mountain Range is Sweet Valley, which is pretty much closed off to humans. It's pretty unpopulated and uncorrupted, all forests and grasslands and watering holes.

The terrain around DJ City is relatively flat, with a few scattered forests. Thick, old forests divide most of the cities from each other, with a few scattered farms.

@ DNS: It's fine. You showed you knew about the clutch, and I can work with what you have

I'm setting a deadline on this, for August 20th.
I know that's not exactly supa far away, but I start school again on August 25th, and I would rather have this clutch done and out of the way before I go back, because I don't know what my class load is just yet.

I mean, typically we're supposed to have 4 core classes and 4 vocational classes, but I do beleive this year I have 6 core classes and 2 vocational classes because I'm trying to catch up on my credits. So depending on the teachers and the workload, I might be rather swamped o.O

:D I'll have mine done by then! It's about half-done right now.

...x_x' I hope you don't mind the mundanety of it, it's rather... not-super-adventure-y. XD

Just a reminder that there are 9 days left to get your candidates in. Which is a little more than a week.

And just because I realized I hadn't noted it yet, your character's alignment does not matter. Good, evil, insane, whatever. I only have one candidate so far for this clutch, and I know I'm keeping one hatchling myself, but -most likely- the excess eggs simply won't hatch.

I've got an evil guy I might send you. I was debating between AAM and the Citadel of Shadows but if you're needing candidates and alignment doesn't matter I might toss him your way.

I /do/ have about two pages started for you, Cy. I'm going to have to bump the story that I was going to write for Astra in order to finish yours tomorrow morning, since I have little time to focus on just writing, lately.

._. I hate being insanely busy. I'm too addicted to the internet.

Two days to the deadline.
I'll stop accepting candidates/sponsors Sunday at midnight, EST time.

Dray, Phe, and Aireona... since you three are responsible for the artwork of the parental images [that's funny to say] and I know all three of you pressed for time, would the three of you like to claim Sponsor [story free ^_^] spots?

I will give this option for all clutches in the future. Which be odd for clutches that are sent in by other people. Seeing as the owner of the mother and father will both get a spot, and I'll give the artist a spot. Hopefully we don't have any really small clutches, eh?
