-joins the piling-lovins-on-jkat- They're all AMAZING. ;-; All of them look great, and the personalities mine got are amazing too! I'm speechless with glee, becuase they /fit/ with their bonds. :3 Like, perfectly. -clings- unconventional, in some cases, but definately the sorts of things that would happen. Things that work, and i can use later. :3 Thaluty and his little dragonling will be especially fun, too.
-hugs- thankyouthankyouthankyou. ^^ I'll get them up ASAP.

*Cackles* And I'm glad someone caught my anagram trick. XD I figured it was fitting, this kind of clutch and all.

Bwahah. Yes. Fun times.

I'm putting these guys up now- just a question. :3 a few of my sponsors are marked as bonders, which I have absolutely no problem with. XP Actually, I really like the idea of them bonded to the babies they got. One of them [sunung]'s desc puts her as sponsored, though, so was that just a mistake, or a purposeful bonds-but-not-nessicarily-outright sort of thing?

:3 I'll have the links for you soon.

Oops! Nope, if they came as sponsors, they sponsored. :/ Sorry, I forgot to change it from bonded to sponsored... I have to do that manually for all the sponsors!

I'm tickled pink, JKat. Now, I was aiming for Eyheth, but Harenot? He was so far off my radar... and yet he's perfect for Daeva. Perfect. And Viot, also perfect. *giddy*

(Unfortunately, I must to work go now.)

XD Seriously? I thought he was a dead giveaway (har had har)! Well, awesome. XD I want to see where you go with those two, if they end up having story afterwards. :3

Thanks, Nessie!

Also, if anyone's interested, I gave the Nidus a bit of a makeover over the last couple of days, in prep for the next clutch. :3 I now can change pretty much every formatting variable from one CSS file, one menu.html, and a couple of easy-to-edit images! :D I love me some CSS, and am learning to love iframes too. Mmmmm.

[Monkey Wrench]

I'm putting Harenot up, and was grabbing links for his parents (since he's got 'em) and realized that his great-grandmother Trillienth is listed as a Danachian... and she isn't. There -are- Danachian dragons on that template, but it's a Dee Dreslough image, so it got used in a couple places. Trillie is a Starlite Isle dragon, and ... *wanders off and Googles something*

Well, hell. Swift found and put up the old records. Trillie's got parents!
http://www.trandiok.net/glacier/starlite/records.html

And, for reference, here's ancient info about Starlite Isle dragons.

No way! XD Ty, you're awesome. That's actually super-helpful. I seem to recall being confused about a Dreslough dragon being 'danachian' anyways, cause I'd seen them listed otherplaces as other things.

Extra pedigree information is always always welcome. XD Thank you, Ty!

The only place that I'm aware of using them as Danachians was Cathair Utopian, but she switched to Shard's templates after a clutch or two.

Ok I updated the stats pages and storybits :3

I liked writing Capri's the best. Control Small Reptiles has got to be like the coolest ability, ever. The post-bonding stories both took place at the Nidus so I hope I didn't butcher any of your characters too badly.

Yay! ^__^ You did wonderfully. Made me giggle. First time I've seen that particular ability used in a story!

One thing though, Bergez is female. ^_~ But it's no biggie, as I really should have a stats page for her, and it's feasable she'd be mistaken for male as she's all... red and scaly and lacking in balatant secondary-sex-characteristics and all that. XD

Thank you for lovely post-bonding stories. :3

Naidae and Ragade are up with two new chapters of story. :) Once I get the third done I'll post it, too, but right now I'm really burnt out. X3 Can't wait to see the adults!

Alright! Time to announce it.

The Fireling Clutch has been put up, with a pre-story and all.

Now, I'm letting everyone know ahead-of-time that my expectations for this clutch are high! I've used characters that are important to people, and I'm expecting the results of this clutch to be gorgeous, so... well, I think it'll be worth it. :3

There are seven spots.

However, this clutch will not be first-come-first-served. I will accept more than seven sponsors (only sponsors, though... for elaboration, please read the clutch-info), and will pick the best-of-the-best to send these godlings home with.

I'll be setting up some sort of opt-in side-clutch exclusively for those who send folk in and don't get picked for the final cut, though I'm not sure what that'll be yet. XD I'll announce that as soon as I know! Though it may be a post-clutch rather than a side-clutch, as this clutch is going to be pretty work-intensive for me. :) So I hope no one will come away too disappointed, but if you think it's really going to devastate you if your charater doesn't make the cut... well, I hate to say it, but this is probably a clutch you'd best steer clear of if that's the case. :/ I really really don't want to turn anyone off of at least trying, because the competitive aspect is meant to encourage you to do your very best, but I totally understand and empathize if you'd rather not run the risk of trying and failing.

Anyways, there is another important bit of information you should know, if you plan on trying for this clutch. That is, if it suits your story better, your sponsor does not HAVE to end up at Nidus Avengaea to be considered at all, nor do they even have to be aware of being considered as a sponsor, or conscious of the fireling clutch at all! Kay will be looking around for proper novos, and, well... she is very farsighted. Lanriki may also be looking for sponsors that are worthy -- you may want to talk to DF about that. :3

Secondarily to that, the sponsor's need does not necessarily have to be the driving force behind getting a fireling. If there is a need for them in a place or a storyline, well, they're godlings -- they'll know, and probably show up just when they're needed. The only requisite is that there needs to be someone willing and able to care for a dragonet should one show up, because even though they are godlings, they're not actual GODS, and they're, well, young. XD

...And for crying out loud, you're getting brainbeast babies. XDD Feed my brainbeast awesome stories or she won't send you any of her babies!

**ETA** This wll be happening at about the same time as the Balespawn clutch in-character, so they shouldn't be out and about and causing trouble just yet. XD This clutch isn't a direct response to them.

Questions? Comments? Flames? Suggestions? Speak to me, and all will be replied to!

:3 I will not be participating, but that doesn't mean I can't feed your brainbeast. Does it like cake? I have cake. And disturbingly spicey thai soup.

<3 Can't wait to see these, even if I'm not joining in on the fun-- prettyfloofieburnyluffs.

OMG. I know who I want to send. Scares the frak out of me but nothing ventured nothing gained right? :3

I know you like shorter stories but will longer ones deter our chances of getting one, even if they are still well done? Of course they might be badly done anyway, but I can tryyyy *coughcough* Reason I ask is I've had this massive plot floating in my head for AGES. And now all of a sudden here comes along the perfect opportunity to uuuuse it. But I'll try not to make it too long, ie i'll take out the parts not narrated by the potential sponsor.

Also if they don't have to be present on the hatching sands ... will the little godling just show up on their doorstep one day and say "Congrats, I decided you were worthy?"

And is there a deadline for this clutch or is it a "close it whenever the frak I feel like it" kind of thing, or is it only up to a certain number of candidates?

And I suppose if my character does not even know they're a candidate then they won't be too devastated if they're rejected, right?

Long stories won't hurt your chancs at all, as long as long is what's good for your story! ^__^

I'll tell you what I've told other people so far: Don't worry too much about length, content, etc. Just write me a good story. Think of this as a story for the sake of a story, rather than a story for the sake of a pretty image, and plan it out accordingly. Remember everything you know about writing a good, captivating story, and use all the tricks you've learned! If that means making it long, well, make that a conscious decision rather than an incidental one. ^_~

..it would also be very much in your best interests if you planned to have something to write after the hatching, and after it grows up, too. ^_~

>D If they're one of the not-on-the-sands novos, yeah, pretty much. One day, possibly at a point of crisis or conflict (wherever you leave off before the hatching), a fireling will appear and say something like "You need me! So I'm here!"... which will vary depending on the dragonet in question. XD Kay will probably be supervising the childrens' appearence so they don't get smooshed immediately!

As for deadlines... well, the official deadline is one month from today, that is, March 18th. But that's more a guideline than anything. Since I AM asking so much from you for this clutch, I aknowledge that it may take more than a month to finish a suitably stunning story.

Therefore, I think March 18th is something to aim for rather than a cut-off date. I'll keep checking in with the people who plan on sending someone in in the meantime. :)

Heck, I'll work on something.. this gives me an excuse to use the Lortan anyway.

(Starry blames Creative Writing for giving her another timeframe and set of chars to play with. As if she didn't have enough already.)

My tentative vote goes in... >_> I don't know if I'll be able to create anything worthwhile in that time without putting aside other obligations (School? Work? What are these you speak of?) but I'm sure they'll be worth it. I always regret missing out on your clutches when I do!

Awesome. :3 Ladies, start your muses.

There's no way I'd be able to compete, but I'll definately be watching this clutch anyway. They're related. ^.^

And I'm sure Dark will be laughing her head off once she finds out what Lanny went and did...

D: My muse is cramming his chopper with bacon off of old fat people... I does not knows what I'm going to get written with stolen-characters bouncing around in me heads and my brain fried after only two chapters of storybit! >.O" I'm feeling distinctly discouraged at the moment.

Database Being Revamped

'Epic' is most concisely defined as something that, were you to do it in view of a person in real life, they'd pretty much have to sleep with you immediately to maintain order in the universe.
I sneezed. It seems to have reshaped reality. My bad.

Ahem, meet Kaizur and Zjierd, both snitched from FF7 and beaten into submission. I love my life.

:D There's an idea, Dray. Take the character you want to be writing rather than the one you think you should be writing! I'd have no objections to reading tales of attractive women in zombie apocalypses. X3
