Oh! I didn't realize that you wanted to have a night for Akyth, then a night for Nysheth, and THEN a night for zombie-killin', I thought it was just the last two! I have a whole shwack of stats candidates that are sitting in the wings, waiting to grow up, so I'll find someone for Nysheth's clutch! I'm going to sit out on Akyth because Corona has enough Pernese-types at the moment, I think!

lol that's fine, Dray. I know people are busy right now so asking for stories is probably, too much. I'll probably end up wavering the rare/metalics rule that you have to have story for these two. :P

I'm certain that some folks will be after the rares, so I wouldn't waive it just yet! Sounded like, in your other thread, you had some interest in them. :3

On a different topic, I was thinking of some random other RP ideas that we could have at different times; for Valentine's Day (or the nearest Monday, anyways) I think it'd be kind of funny to have a speed dating RP with characters that've been single but are looking for some love (or cuddles, or flights, or whatever. XD) You'd have to specify if your character's a dragon, human, shifter, or whatever, and we'd have to divide things up that way, but we could spend fifteen minutes at a go between characters before switching them up. I think it'd be funny to include a 'Get A Room' room for those who get along well, but I don't know if that'd be Nexus-appropriate. XDD

Anyways, whatever results from that, if you would want to draw a clutch or write some new story-bits in for your character, I think it'd be a fun way to play around with the holiday!

XD That sounds full of awesome, Dray! It always kinda bothered me that the only way for our dragons to find mates outside of our own ranks was for them to sign up to fly or chase and have no way to get to know the chasers or the chasee before hand... :) I'd definitely try to find some dragons to participate in that if we did it!

Consider the Galactirock there for the music, if you wish. :)

Eep, o.o this didn't even light up for me. *hugs Shard* Sorry you couldn't come! Get some rest, and here's hoping things start turning better for you, neh?

Also! For those who would like it -- it is allowed for the kitlings of the Pride to leave as early as the end of the festival, if they feel they don't want to stay and live in the desert. They're always welcomed back, of course, but life in the desert isn't for everyone, and it's hardly a place to force someone to stay!

There are two types of kitlings available - regular Alevaharin, and the much smaller Ale'in. The Ale'in were supposed to make their great debut in Dray's stocking exchange, but might as well see the light of day here!
These are the Ale'in (ah-ley-in, sing: Ale'i (ah-ley-EE)) "Wind Kids". They're miniature Alevaharin, and are more catlike than horse-like this time. They're the result of centuries of selective breeding towards smaller sizes and different colorations, which resulted in house-cat colorations. Another result of this is that draconic and equine colors are very, very rare -- in fact, equine colors have a "partially lethal" gene associated with them, now, due to the selective inbreeding. Any Ale'in born with an equine coloration is also born as a neuter, which makes those colorations rarer and rarer as the generations go on. While the draconic colorations don't have those difficulties, they're still rare, occurring perhaps one in two hundred births.
Currently, the Ale'in have two 'types' -- naughty and nice.

ImageNaughty <-- --> NiceImage

They are fully intelligent, capable of speech, and short hopping flights or glides. They're just cat-sized.

Make a comment on whether you want to take some of either or both home, and I'll gather it all together and make a 'leave taking' post.

I would gleefully snag an Ale'in or two from you; I'm not sure if the Alevaharin kits apply, given that none of my characters chatted with them -- whatever you think is appropriate!

JKat, Shard, if you'd like an Aleva or two, you can tell me who would have been there and I'll toss some your way.

Dray, there's always after what we rped =P After all, Renille was sitting down, and sitting down might be proof from the adults, but not the kits!

Phe, I can just see the little red fuzzball standing on the edge of the doorway, beckoning to a posse of Ale'in to come in. *laughing* Poor Cid.

::snickers:: Come to think of it, the ship really only needs one Ship's Cat to drive Cid batty. But maybe you could toss a stowaway kit at me?

Cid couldn't have been the only one going "yay, fresh air!" Maybe the cabin boy, Duo was out and about and his stowaway tales were awfully tempting to some of those kits? X3

Ohh, really?!
Cyprium would have been there, escorting Teviad and Isaina. I reaaaallly wish I had had time last night to take part, because I think they would have been a ton of fun to play there.

I would absolutely LOVE for the Galactirock to have a little somethin'somethin' to remember the event even though I wasn't there for em ;)

http://www.droppin-the-fork.com/dragons ... tirock.htm

Any of them would happily take on stowaways, 'accidentally' feed the little'uns, that kind of thing ;)

You know, I hadn't thought of that! Renille would do well for some company, I think -- her bond is too frumpy to suit her cheerful side! Whatever you would prefer; I'm partial to the little guys, myself!

As a post-RP factoid: Renille has had several crates and baskets filled with the following to the Pride in thanks a couple of weeks after the party! Smoked salmon and mussels, several skeins of wool in iridescent white, fiery red, lustrous bronze, and teal, as well as a few lengths of fabric twilled with these colours and cedar bark. There's a single crate marked 'fragile' that contains some delicate works of glass art, probably magically made. Several bottles and jars of blackberry wine, jam, and syrup are included as well.

Miyaki is always glad to take home any sort of kits that want to follow her...big or small...though I can totally see one of those little ones taking up residence in her fur in the winter... XD

Yikes, that could be trouble. You should see if you can find out what is causing it for certain before then -- like, keep notes of when you log in and what else you were doing when the connection broke; I think that if you did that it might be easier to suss out why it's breaking for you. :c

That's the problem, I don't know why. First time I stepped away to get dinner which took about 15-20 minutes, the second time I was active. Grrr...the only thing i can think of is firewall or something stupid like that and it's having a fit because I'm in the chatroom too long. But even that seems far fetched. Last time I couldn't get in until Xalia fiddled with somethings so I don't know...

If you ARE running a firewall, make sure that the chatroom is an excepted site. Anything that is "running" from the internet can be seen as a threat to most firewalls. I don't use one, myself, because I never really download anything you wouldn't trust, and I always use adblocker plus with firefox. ;) Keeps things simple for me, but then again every once in a while I find myself WISHING I either hadn't clicked on something stupid, or had a firewall for some modern attack.

I completly lost internet after that so I ended up doing a system restore on my computer. Looks like something installed at about 9ish (which was when I lost internet access competley) so I'm guessing that was it. Whatever it was. So I don't if what Xalia did let me in or the restore. Either way, I can get in so i can practice DMing now. lol I may limit you a bit more on characters you can send because this is my first time, if you don't mind. We'll see...I'm trying out StarFyre's system. :P (will need to make a list of rules and stuff to stick in front of her that night. lol)

Once again, I can't get into chat. I don't know where to go to check to see if it's being blocked or what, either. I guess all I can do is cross my fingers I can get in, and stay in, Monday....*sigh* Hope you all have a back up plan just in case. *throws tomatoes at Chat Room door*

Yes. That loaded. I actually can't load ANYTHING on Xalia's domain....

EDIT: would the Software Distribution Service 3.0 have anything to do with this. This is the windows update that the system restore has marked that seems to be when my problems started. Not only that, but it seems that when it installs this update other people in the house can't get online or it's really slow. The only thing that seems to work is doing System Restore but then Windows Updates just puts it back. I turned it off after the restore but it still had the updates and I (out of habit) hit shutdown this morning and it installed it and now everything in the house is being stupid. Should I just do another restore and never shut my computer off or something...(which is unvoidable, I know). Just thought I'd mention that...
