Like the first post says, finally opening up the batch 4 applications! Due January 14th, all purebred Enkeyn, etc.

Well, somewhere up this thread, possibly in the first post, is a link to the Livejournal where her adoptions take place!

Usually Skysong's creature adoptions are *random draws* so you'd be put in a hat with everyone else wishing to get one, and the winner gets that image. Sometimes there are 'apply and get one sometime' threads in here, and others are advertising a limited number of eggs. It just depends on the first post - so if you see a piece of art that you'd be interested in trying for, make sure you read the first post through to the end of the thread.

Hey Kryos, good to see you here!

The way the Enkeyn batches work is the same way that a lot of the clutches here work. You basically create a character, making a page for the character with their stats and sometimes a story to introduce them. Some dragon clutches or batches have specific kinds of characters that must be submitted (ie, must be human, cannot be a unicorn, etc). For Enkeyn, the only limitation is that the character cannot be larger than 20' long in size ^_^

Once you've created your character, you submit it to the clutch or batch that you are interested in. The person running the clutch will have a submission form either in the thread, or on the webpage where the clutch is taking place. Then you play - the waiting game!

With Enkeyn, I wait until I have received all of the characters that people want to submit, and then read them all and decide which are worthy of an Enkeyn! When I've decided who gets what, I make another post with the pickup of the pup stage. If your character bonds an Enkeyn, then you put the pup image up on your character's page, usually with some more story.

After a while, the pups grow up into adults! I provide the adult image, and then you update the character's page again, this time with the adult image and (hopefully) more story. Once your Enkeyn is an adult, it can then breed and have pups of its own (well, when I finally do Enkeyn breedings, at least).

I know that the Nexus is all about breeding dragons with dragons and making new and weird species. That being said, I am still trying to ease into this particular adoption scene, as this is not at all how I go about things usually.

Please ask permission before sending any Enkeyn into a flight or a frenzy or whatnot. A simple PM is all it takes. This requirement might be lifted in the future, but for now I would really appreciate this courteous gesture. Thanks.

sky, could we still send in potentials for this, even though it's on hold? ^^;;; i don't have enough chars to just send them about helterskelter and, for the most part, have been writing them up per adoption. lollol
