Winged Cats - Breedings Open

Further Foundation Cat ReLofting Project
Over the course of years, some winged cats are not taken care of properly, or get lost on the wing, or simply strike out on their own, leaving their owners scratching their heads about where they've gotten to. Most of these cats, thankfully, eventually home back to where they belong. If they find that their loft has disappeared, however, they are clever enough to find their way back to Nidus Corona, where they are cared for until the time that someone wishes to pick them up again. The Further Foundation has been receiving a slow trickle of wayward cats for two years, now, and it's about time that they find their way to avid breeders!

Before most of these cats can be given away, their previous owners will be contacted (in as much as I'm able to do so!) and given a week to put their cat up. After that, the cats will be available for adoption. If you have your eye on a particular cat, let me know! Those that more than one person want, I'll put into a lottery. Those that aren't as popular will be simple first come, first served.

Since many of the people who don't have links up haven't been around the Nexus in a long time, if you spot one that originally belonged to them, please drop a note as to which you'd like to reserve. (You may reserve up to five!) If, after one week, they haven't gotten back to me, I'll give them out via coin flip or first come first served, depending on how many people wanted a cat in question!

Any cats not asked for, and not re-homed, will be open for further adoption over your five-cat reservation limit.

For those who do get back to me, I'll be giving a two-week paging deadline. After that, they'll join the other un-adopted cats so others have a chance at 'em.

The paging deadlines are soft; I'm not going to officially say that they're abandoned, but occasionally I will go through the list again and give warnings/re-adoptions to those not in the registry. Just a heads-up!

As a quick update, I'm working on adding thumbs to the genetics page to give everyone a better idea of what each gene does.

There is some basic info on the newly added winged cats info page! It's partly for flavour, partly to explain about the cyberpet aspect.

I've included all known lofts on the registries page, towards the center. Let me know if your loft is active, and if you want it to be open for breeding and trading! (Yes, No, With Restrictions) Also, if yes or with restrictions, I'd love to snag an email that you can be reached by so that people can get ahold of you to ask about these things!

Breeding: Others can borrow a cat from your loft to breed with one of their own. Each loft owner can only request one of these per month. Breedings of this sort can only be done with proper lofts.

Trading: Trade one or more of the cats from your loft with someone else. This entails removing your old cat from an active status in your loft (though you may keep a records list -- no active duplicats, please!) and paging the new cat, then tossing me a link when that's done. The benefit to this is that you can breed the cat you've traded for more than once a month, and can switch out some of your potentially inbred hoard for some fresh stock. Trading doesn't have to occur at specific times, so long as you keep me updated when cats transition. This is also only available to those who are making a proper loft.

The 50-cat kiriban is coming up for both males and females! We're at 48 males and 47 females -- once we hit 50 for either gender, whomever requested/bred the lucky cat can ask for a full custom (as in, you pick the specific genes in whatever quantity you wish!) So... keep your eyes peeled in case there are more breedings!

Question about the "with restrictions", does that apply to breeding only or to trading as well? I assume trading would require the owner's consent, right?

'with restrictions' is basically a big warning in the breeding section, that you mean to let others know you may not wish to breed certain cats, or you want half the litter, or whatever. I suppose it's more a blanket term. For the trading, 'yes' implies that each party will contact one another... XD I wouldn't make it so that people could rustle one another's cats, that would just be mean!

I've included a re-adoption page, where all cats who are abandoned or weren't claimed from a breeding will be placed. The ones up there right now come from folks who never got back to me, (or who graciously did and said that they weren't able to keep up at this point in time,) as well as those that have been placed up in this thread during recent breedings. If any tickle your fancy, please feel free to ask for 'em! Max two at a time, but once those are paged you can ask for more.
