I think the correct question is: what color fire do we want? =P I'm pretty sure there's enough dragons out there with colored fire that we can have a rainbow fire if we wanted. ^^

I thought that you had to have contact with it, and that being in the same general area only screws you up if the balefire's possessed of sentience or something like that!

What Dray said, balefire itself has to burn you to cause the mutation/corruption goodness. I'm sure the heat and fumes are nothing that can just be shrugged off, though! XD
