Well, school's out and it looks like people are starting to come back, so who wants some winged wolves? This is a quick and dirty giveaway, ask and ye shall receive, with minimal stats. 1-5 wolves at a time.

Aww, poor wolf looks adorably tired. No doubt he'd love to settle someplace comfortable over summer. =) And just my luck to find all these wonderful giveaways when I'm telling myself no more adoptions! Willpower and discipline are not exactly my strong traits. XD

Here's a question for all you photoshop wizzes: Say I want to do dalmatian spots. I have a layer with all the coloration done of the base colors, and I want to do another layer of white above that, and create transparent spots on that layer for the base color to show through. How can I do this without it looking really choppy?

Erm...not sure what you're asking exsactly. Do you want to be able to change the color of the spots easily without redoing, them, is that it? I don't have photoshop [any more] but in paint shop pro one can create a mask layer that would do that. (used it for the speckled firelizards).

Kit, I'm not familiar with that technique of masking using Photoshop. I am much more familiar with creating a locked layer in the pattern of the spots and then either overlay your spot colour on top of that, or simply refill that layer with the spot colour (possible because of locking its transparency).

Ooh, lots of pretty winged wolves, and these markings are stunning. =D I also have to say, that new cub is just precious.

I'll miss those cute original wolves though. Would it be possible to maintain the older adult images alongside these new ones? Or possibly let them have an occasional appearance? I don't know why, but I always get a little antsy when lovely artwork disappears, even if the new images are just as nice. =)

Make a new layer and flood-fill it with white, then group it over the base colour layer so that the extra white doesn't go out of the lines. Use the eraser tool on the white to imitate spots (it's best if you have the base layer on black while you're doing it!)

I think that's photoshops version of a masking layer - I use Paint Shop Pro so it's different lingo. lol

Oh neat, the spots on Ulah's wing fade near the tips. That's a really pretty effect.

Dray's suggestion helped me figure out how to redo the transparent spots. If the white dalmation layer was taken off, he'd show as a typical common brown patterned wolf. ^_^
