October Dragon Giveaway: ...?

I sorta forgot to put up the vote this month, but I've been feeling really Halloween-y, so I was wondering if you guys would object if I just made this month's theme Halloween. ^.^;; It'd include everything associated with the holiday, including candy, costumes, spooky stuff, monsters, etc...

Alternately, I could still make a poll for this month, with Halloween as one of the options, but you'd only have a few days to vote.

Choice is yours! *salute!* Unless I hear any complaints, I'm gonna set up next month's theme as Halloween. ^.^;

I'm only okay with Halloween as the theme if Phe gets credit for her misunderstood monster event, giveaway or not, for it.

She has put a lot of thought into her event, and to not count as a participant for it would be cruel and unfair, because I don't think any of us would expect her to do TWO Halloween giveaways/clutches.

The Misunderstood Monsters are not a giveaway (though the candidate requirements won't be extreme, either)... but they're definitely all I'll be doing for the month considering they're going to bealkjh 23987da=23a(TRANSMISSION SCRAMBLED)

But, um, yes I would be a sad Phepanda if I'll miss out on giveaway extras just because my monsters won't be free. ;_;

I'm gonna have to second Ty's motion. I mean, Phe's event is the backbone of the Halloween events right now, mysterious eldritch unknown that it may be. We shouldn't over-stress her. =)

I'd be fine with taking a breather this month, and letting people have halloween events that aren't tagged into this set of giveaways.

The last couple of rounds have kind of gone a little downhill (I'm still waiting to see so many of those gem dragons from the advertised giveaways!) so maybe people need a break from feeling like they have to participate! If we pick up again in November then I'd be happy to jump back on board again. XD

Hmm.. Dray has a point, would you guys rather just let October be a breather month, and pick back up in November? Maybe we should even make the giveaways bi-monthly, so people don't feel as rushed or there's a little time in between for muses to recover? I dunno, what do you think?

(But don't worry, if Halloween turns out to be this month's theme and we don't end up taking a break, I'd definitely let Phe and DF's events count as participation. <3)

Doing something for November and skipping December (there's the Gather, the..... maybe..... Flurry.......... XD and other X-massy events that are likely going to be on the brew!) and taking up on January... seeing how people feel about bimonthly then might be nifty. :3

The internet has mold? Does it clog up the tubes?

That said, every two months works awesomely. Gives more time for more quality results and allows for breathing room for those of us who get swamped with work (oh hai science degree). Granted, I'm assuming that the prompt from the previous month is "valid" for the following as well. (ie November = November and December, if you so choose to be late.) Scheduling around holidays is also sweet.

I'm going to try to delurk now that life is going into more of a routine and less of an OMGWTF clusterfuck. (Like that's likely, I'm getting a KITTEN tomorrow.)

*chuckles* Yeah, well, I was just imagining Cynte (me) and a few others characters sitting around the table in the Council Chamber with old record skins recovered from these various Weyrs from many Passes and trying to get them in a computer record. Hey, I'm sure on PERN my stupid laptop would be useful. I just remembered that I brought it. LOL. Here on earth it's dead 'cause I have not charger cord for it...grrr...

But yeah...I'm currently going through places like Everest, Katadon, Avium (I actually DID find those records! makes me happy), and Blue Sky. Little Weyrs with only 1-4 clutches.

And wishing I could find the original Dawn Sister's Weyr records...I really need them to finish some of these charts. LOL
