So, I started my wonderful Database for the Falas dragons (so far) but decided to go back and "start over". I decided to start with the "Founding Dragons" (like Treyath and Naomith from Talor Cliff, Zyranth and Tyrith from Dark Moon...all the Cannon dragons people created to get there Weyrs going.) Of course, I don't know all of them but it's a start. I'm not sure all the dragons in clutch 17 will be able to get genetic codes - some were Danachian or part Alskyrian. >.<

Anyway, if i make a form at the FGPC would people be willing to fill out codes for there cannon dragons (if they're still around?) Or send me a list of the known cannon's?

Just wondering...yep, I have a poll...of course. If you don't want to but you have Foundation Dragons, you can post here who they are and I'll use my own generator for them.

That's why I could always use my generator for them. *shrugs* I've actually simplifed that for more "normal" dragons but I haven't uploaded it.

XD Somehow I don't think Avengaean genetics would fit into the code you've done up for your Perny dragons. Sooo, I guess my answer is no.

*pats JKat* That's okay. This is really only for Pernese dragons. XD Perhaps at a later date we can create a database (maybe like this one where people can put in the info themselves rather then having to have one person do it: All Breed Pedigree Database but that might be beyond my scripting skills. >.<)

If anything, a list of dragons people know were cannon would be great. Sometimes it's hard to find the pages. Or, the dragon's image came from a non-Pernese Weyr but they were used for Pernese dragons (like Gallimim did a lot). I don't know how to record them, truthfully...

I would love to see a genetics system that works across the Nexus regardless of the dragon type; so much more complicated, trying to get that to work, but it would be interesting to have a code that determines colours and the specific traits (like hair, or feathers, or magic) and whether they need matching genes to show up...

XD A universal genetic code (or something equivalent to help explain the interbreedability of Nexus dragons) would be a really interesting and monumental achievement!

>_> .... yeah lol. It would be awesome though. It's like we DO have most of the info needed (sizes, color ranges, dominance of features, breeding restrictions) but... getting them all in the same format and covering everything in a way that would make sense... soooo hard.

Oh GOD something like that would be cool. :D Then people could play with crossing particular pairings based on actual stuff...

oooh, like. You know how some dragons seem to have the wing-limb in front of the forelimbs, while some behind? We could have something like, "limb1: limb2: limb3:" etc etc, defining what kind of limb, what kind of paw/hand/whatever... that'd be cool. XD It would make templates more of a pain in the ass to draw because there'd be more variation, but it'd be wicked cool. :o

Hey, as long as I could understand it, I'm game. And if a cheat sheet (like the one I have up at Falas) is present, even better. XD

But, yeah, that would be complicated. >.<

O_O Oh wow, yeah, that would be even more complex. XD You could get into fractal-like complexity with detail.

I remember trying to do something like this a long time ago but it was just too much for one person to do. If, say, there was a generic base that everyone could take and personalize (like html? I don't know. XD) it would be easier, I'd imagine.

...Then again, I rarely make unique species o' creatures, so :X

Oh hell yeah. XDD Everyone fill it out for their own darn creatures!

It'd be a cool kind of thing to do. Like if a few of us whipped 'em up for our species and banged out what should be on the basic sheet, and how detailed the good stuff would get. >.> I want to freaking do this, you guys. XD

Ah, that's okay, Dray! It make me feel special when people take up the thread. And it's not like I mind. LOL I'm even willing to change my code to fit whatever comes out (as long as no one else minds because I'll have to change the codes to the other dragons already out there... >.<)

And I'll help *wanders off to the other thread that I'm guessing pertains to this...* Dum-de-dum...yeah! (don't ask...)
