DragonFlight's Weirdly-Triumphant Sort-Of-Return

Post by DragonFlight »

Soooo yeah, last actual dragon-related post was way long ago. I'm still overhauling, only now I'm working on this thing where I buy a freaking house, holy krap. But, in the interest of trying to draw dragons again - I've been occasionally doodling other concepts for ArtSlam - I shall do the following.

Reply to this post. Nothing formal or anything. Write some stuff in your post. This can be stuff you like, or random words, or names or songs or ideas. Or even a pairing of dragons you own or have permission to use, like via that breeding database if it's still around. Or just one. Or more than two. I don't care.

You can post a couple times if you like, like I said, this is very informal.

Then, when I get the urge to draw, or need inspiration, I'll come look at the posts, and randomly pick something. And draw a dragon based on it. Then I'll post the sketch. The person I based the doodle on will get to decide between two options. One, they can have me turn it into a template and I'll give out a couple when it gets finished. Or, the other option, I'll ink the artwork and scan it with bigger resolution, and that person can turn it into his or her own personal dragon, or a template to distribute as they see fit - provided I get a link back when I have somewhere to link to.

This way people get stuff, and I get to doodle, but potentially with less stress involved, at least until I'm all settled in to the house and have money again and all those crappy adult things I have to deal with, BAH.

^_^
Database Being Revamped

'Epic' is most concisely defined as something that, were you to do it in view of a person in real life, they'd pretty much have to sleep with you immediately to maintain order in the universe.
I sneezed. It seems to have reshaped reality. My bad.

For some bizarre reason, the quote...

"GET THEE TO A NUNNERY!"

is all I can think of... o.o lol!

I'm with Shard.. this has been repeating itself in my head and just won't go away until I post it. *shrug!*

"There's no smoke without fire" or "Where there's smoke, there's fire"

Both have been circling themselves around my brain. Which is fun, when one has a headache. ^.^;; Maybe now they'll go away. *shoos them* Shoo, go play with DF. XD

Gotta kick at the darkness till it bleeds daylight!

Alternately, "On an evening such as this, it's hard to tell if I exist".

(Am I perhaps on a Barenaked Ladies kick? Why yes I am!)

*laughs* Thanks to the radio, I now have "Oh what twisted webs we weave, when we practice to deceive." playing catch-the-tail round my head.

Bad thing is, I don't even know what song has that old adage in it, which means I can't grab the song to listen to in an attempt to rid my mind of it.

I'm addicted to Sex & the City re-runs - watch them religiously everryy night.

I'd LOVE to see Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, & Samantha drawn in DRAGON FORM!

TV characters transformed into dragons! Awesome? I think so! :D

Ahhh, DF-dragons. How I look on mine and feel like I'm oggling a particularly lovely hoard-piece. XD

Best of luck with the house! Careful with those mortgages. D: Don't touch sub-prime stuff if it's still kicking around, I hear it's murder!

As for prompts...

http://seventhsanctum.com/generate.php? ... dragonling

There are some generators! :D
For me, the number of the day is 'randomization'. XD I would love to see you draw some favorites from your massive collection and mixing things up, kind of like Kitsneko's random giveaway!

JKat, woo Barenaked Ladies :D!

Inspirationy (also Barenaked Ladies <.<): "How do you plan for a bank full of nuns?" or "Like zebras, they had us confused"

Just so I don 't feel guilty, the song is "Bank Job" by the Barenaked Ladies.

Reading about things stuck in your head reminds me... I usually have this floating in my head, at least once a week:

"It's better to burn out than to fade away!"
