(This has been deleted 'cause Photoshop decided to work...hmmm...it's still retarded...)

Anyway, I stumbled upon this and was wondering what people thought of it. She's obviously not done. I also don't think the shading flows very well but I tried. I don't have a tablet, either, so it made the inking harder (I didn't use the pens on this one). So, yeah...It's Valerie (who's name I want so badly to change because there is a woman at work who has the same name and I greatly dispise her...)

here is the original drawing...btw

And this was the tutorial I was trying to follow...

... ... *skitters in and gives the poor woman a belt to keep those pants up* >_>;;;

Other than low-riders being something I personally detest in artwork, I don't see anything glaringly wrong with the lines. :) They cleaned up quite well. Good job! The shading on her shirt is, as you noticed, non-sequitor. That is, it's in the right colors and what, but the lines of it do not follow.

:) I'd like to see more of how this progresses, since people are the only thing, really, that I /can/ draw. XD;;

Also, the link to your tutorial is busy not being a link.

Ooh, this is going to look good!

The only thing I would do is to shrink her eyeballs down lots. XD When I saw the half-coloured image, I assumed that she was wearing shades, ala Shinji's stupid dad in Neon Genesis with the light reflecting off of them. Then I saw the sketch and realized those were going to be full-on eyeballs... they just seem too big!

I like everything else so far! I think her right elbow may be at an awkward angle -- it's pointing more closely to her body than an elbow naturally should when held like that (at first I thought it was just that her upper arm was too long, but now I think it's the curve of her forearm where it meets the upper arm that's giving the illusion of a too-long-and-bendy upper arm/elbow) Try flattening out the curve where forearm meets upper arm (on her right arm!) and shortening it a little, to see if that makes the elbow look like it's sticking out more?

Woot, harmans!

Yeah i'm gonna agree with Dray, her eyes are huuuuuge. But otherwise, the shading on the current piece looks AWESOME, and I like the pose, too.

And the link should work now. I pixed it. :P

She was the first one I drew and the pose was from a book. :P I don't like low rise pants either, but she's a city girl and it's her stlye. :P I'll try to find the drawing and fix it/finish it.

Thanks!
