I don't know if any of you have gotten caught up in the Twitter (http://www.twitter.com) phenomenon, but if any of you have, would you be interested in a Nexus reminders/alerts/anouncement Twitter?

What I mean is a Twitter account which any Nexus member can log into and post relevant things.

Example:

Clutch #XY at Someweyr has hatched!

Reminder: Adults from Noweyr clutch #DD are due up by Friday 10am

Second applications are now being accepted for BWR #color!

one of the things Twitter can do, if you set it to do so, is send you SMS/text messages. So you could get the "hey, dragons are due by midnight tonight!" reminder in your pocket, or find out that the clutch you're practically dying waiting for has finally hatched... without having to get on your computer.

I do have Twitter, I you can guess my name over there. I don't get the updates texted to me, because I pay for every single message. (I hate my plan, but the contract's not up until July.)

I don't really do twitter, but I don't think it's a bad idea. :)

I don't either -- nor do I have a phone with texting capabilities (eek, charge by the message? Ick!) but I like the idea, too!

I might give it a poke if just for Nexus-things! XD Otherwise it seems a little bit too much like Facebook's message-board, which I find cluttered and... kinda annoying. But having a list of what's current in the Nexus in a headline sort of manner is kinda nifty.
