Brown's a good color! I love 'em! They're so pretty~ ^___^ I'll get them and the Pernese dragons up soon. I may just have try and create an outline that I'm actually happy with for you.... >___>

Ah...that's fine, I guess.

And yes, wolves can be candidates. I have half a pack at the FGPC that bonded dragons and a wolf on LSI that bonded a gryphon. Just to clarify that...

Also, I will be making a wolf generator, too, that's a bit different/more detailed then Dray's. SHe was going off a chart I had created for the Frenzy.

I just lost the one I created. Heh...

And sorry about those quick-fact images, guys. I'll change that. *winces*

The FGPC modifies the color gene of dragons. Nothing else. Nothing as fancy as the Destiny or other places like that. Just color. If you combine a dragon and a wolf in a synth type thing, that is fine. But the wolf has to have the personality to want to and such. As for the last part, er...isnt' that the same as the above?

At the very least, I really don't want wolves treated like dragons in most cases. They were brought to the nexus to be like a pet or companion to a bonder or candidate. I would really like for them to stay at that level and not treat them like dragons.

Please.

nope; mindspace additions would add traits and stuff, not modify just color. XP so different things, but i getcha. i can leave it out of that. I ask becuase I have a breed of dragon that's almost the same as these guys.. just bigger and with longer necks and tails, and available in wierd colours. Made them basically as soon as I came in; the Lirianz, if anyone remembers them. >.> I was thinking of vita-critae [synth, basically] ing those two.

but yeah. On a personal level, I don't differentiate between species, so long as it's sentient. Which is why dragons are equal to characters for me, and under that presumption winged wolves would be equal to both of them. The dividing line for me is mental capabilities.
I mention that becuase it's kind of effecting everything I do on here, but if you'd rather I leave them out of it entirely, I can do that.

Wolves would need to go through a synth type procedure to mate with dragons anyway - physically, it would be impossible. That is why I said that. I have a wolf-dragon (well, two, actually), too, but wolves and dragons are different species...well, to me. A winged wolf has the same internal organs as a regular wolf - just with wings and a bit different muscular and skeletal system to allow them to fly.

Wolves are character's to me, too, but they are more like a companion or best friend to my other character. Yeah, they can bond to dragons, but only rarley. I can't moniter what other people do with them but I hope that people don't make a habbit out of sending wolves to bond at clutches. >.< But, like I said, I can't stop people and I have to trust people to not do that. Before the Nexus I had no problem with it but things have changed.

Just remember the reason why I brought the wolves into the Nexus, Nessie, and you should be good. I run Alair like a dragon agency but that dosn't mean the wolves are the same as dragons.

Here, think of them this way, they're like Phe's Terrigon's...kinda...sorta...ish...does that help?

DNS, just to let you know, Western Canese wolves are demons and have dragon like wings...the Eastern wolves are the ones with feathered wings - called avians on Cani. *hangs self for not getting info up*

I was thinking synth-like for them, all that was about changing the template. ._. Vitacritae is a genetic-procedure. nothing involved with the original parents except a few strands of fur being plucked by the potential parents.

And I know all that. X.x It wasn't meant to spark a discussion; I mean like.. I see no difference except in appearance between dragon, humanoid candidate, and anything else. it's all in sentience to me. which is why i asked in that ethics thread in general if dragons and whatnot could learn other abilities, and why I'd be sending these guys out to bond. :/ but I shan't do that, however.

Being rather new here, I actually have no idea why winged wolves were brought to nexus. I've heard from shard that they were the brainchild of you and someone else.

But bah, I shall adjust my way-of-seeing winged wolves and whatnot.

Everyone who got western canese wolves, please note that the wolves you recieved are now mutts; 3/4 some other breed of wolf, with 1/4 western canese.

Yeah...the wolf would get the feathered wings from the elruvian half.

And no worries, DNS. YOu were excited to be starting them yourself. I'm glad you asked first.

I first introduced the winged wolves to Falas Weyr with Seneca who worked in the Lower Cavern's as Gerlana (the headwoman then)'s assistant and candidate-keep-in-liner.

I started using them more often until I eventually opened Marbethil to give them to other people. Marbethil then moved to Alskyr. Then I had two breeds - Reririan (which I rearley if ever used), and the more common Alskyrian, which any wolf from Marbethil or Reya'erlismar are. I started RPGing in Yahoo! Groups and joined one or two other RPG's that used winged wolves. One of these were set on Cani and the other Ryu. Cani's RPG died but I still loved the idea and brought it here. The Cani used for the Nexus is my version of it as the creator kinda vanished. Ryu was created by two other people. This is probably where Shard got the 'someone else' though she didn't start using winged wolves until I did. Shard knows who I speak of - she was once a friend of mine but not anymore since her tiff here in the Nexus. Because she decided to pull a 'mineminemine don't do anything with them/give them to *list of peoples' names*' I changed Ryu to Elrion and that is where the Elruvian wolves came in. Elrion is simular to Ryu - except I decided how the Kindreds and relationship with men are set up now.

ANd I'm not limited on who gets that breed.

Synthing or anything related to Synthing is okay for the wolves. But mind you, not many wolves may /want/ to synth with a dragon. Sihho (who was a father in the AD synth), is just a nut case and thought something like that would be cool. He's psyco...*shrugs* Ays and Koite have fun keeping that one in line.

Winged wolves should be given to those that want a wolf for a character as a friend or companion, other then a dragon (though the said character dosn't have to bond a dragon later), or can be given to people that want to create a pack for an agency - Like I have with Falas Weyr. The wolves in that pack have duties in the Weyr that help out the riders and leaders. They were often used as fire lizard egg-keepers back in the day.

I'm not saying people can't use them for sending somewhere to bond but they would probably sponser rather then bond.

I will be putting up some rules and stuff at Alair. Most of the people that started places before were around when I introduced them to the Nexus or have been around long enough to know how they were used. I never had this kind of problem before so I'll make a rules and restrictions page for the wolves.

DNS: In regards to the wolf-swap, I was wondering if I could get something in warmer colours? X3 Common Grey and Black and White are nice and all, but I love creams and yellows and browns and oranges and reds and whathaveyou, and only have one or two of that variety at the moment!

Yakima, you sent in a whole bunch of wolves to bond at Star City, so I'm kind of confused! Have the rules changed if you don't want them bonding anymore?

I only sent ya two, Dray. Hee...but no. I don't mind if they bond but I don't want all the wolves I sponser out to be used to bond. I created a group of wolves a long time ago, two of who I sent to Star City, to bond but I doubt I'll ever do that again. *shrugs* The rules haven't changed unless you count the point in time I was saying I dindn't want people using them for bonding at all - but I changed that because I created the WolfRiders.

Which reminds me, I need to finish Jalepp and Senyren's pages! *ducks from those two and there dragons*

Yes...I just don't want to see them used all the time. That's all. They're not meant to be used as such but I said earlier I can't really stop people if they want to use them as candidates. If I can/did then I'm not about to stop people. It's a small fear with wolves that I sponsered at the Frenzy, but like I keep saying, I can't stop you so don't worry. I may not be completley happy with the fact they're not being used as I intened them to be but once I give them to you I have no say what you do with them.

I always look at wolves as being pack-oriented, and therefore sponsor material rather than bonder. They make excellent caretakers, but they're not going to form specific, one-on-one bonds unless they're exceptionally ... exceptional.
