oh gods, they must've looked horrible! XP I actually refuse to work on things that darken my lineart like that, becuase they eatthe shading.;-; and then it looks like everything is black, except for like.. three whiter patches. ^^;
notthattheylooktogreatinthefirstplace, but oh well. :3

Thanks for the link-- i love what you did with her. :3 a lot like what i'd been thinking when i coloured her.

Which is why I haven't bothered trying to color anything lately. Too bad the school computers don't have any paint programs on them...

Hee, that effect was unintentional, but you're right, starburst. XP It's the lop ears, which are there because Acheron is either the river of woe or lamantation-- i think lamantation becuase cocytus is woe, i think. >.> Something emo, anyway. :3 and lop ears make me think of sad beasties. That's why the cocytus has ears so long they dragon on the ground~

mm, not really. They're all individuals. That, and I couldn't decide on a mass idea thing for them. Cuz Acheron is a lamantation river, but when i first heard of it, lamantation is /not/ what i thought of. >.> More like scholarly or learning. :/ originally, actually [before i forgot to ink them in] their little miniscule bit of symbolism was that the mirrors they were looking up to were vagually shaped like a question mark, and there were two more of them. <.<but>.> I guess more prone to intelligence, or prone to lamanting things? :3'

:3 Everything's pretty open-ended. Phlegethon beasts were created by Phlegethon Rex Regis, the Personification Godspirit of the river Phlegethon. The only guidelines for them is in their symbolism-
Canine appearance- Loyalty, fighter, protection and guard dogs.
Four eyes, all of them can see, and especially well.
And fire, which can either warm or burn. They can actually turn off their fire's ability to burn people.

Dunno if that was helpful-- I;ve got POTC playing inthe background which makes me really out of it. ._. but yeah. It's definately possible for any of them to pair up, and lethe and phlegethon would be a good balance. :3 it could work any number of ways.
