The shaving was mostly done out of necessity, he gets horrible hairballs especially when the fleas come back from all the scratching and licking. This was to give him a break. I did wince when I picked him up, but thankfully I'll be splitting the bill with my parents. :D
The vet was shocked we wanted to shave off all of his fur, it was so pretty and clean for a cat we've rarely brushed or bathed.
And he's already been neutered Astra, he has the high-pitched little kitten voice to prove it! XD He's just got nothing left to give.

I hope he doesn't go outside like that... Not just because of the laughing behind his back of all his kitty friends of course but without an under- and over-coat to keep his temperature regulated he'll need warmth.
Poor kitty! I've never had to shave any of my cats, though I have had to clip their rears when they have trouble cleaning themselves (cat dingleberries are nasty...).

Oh no, he's an indoor kitty, partly because I've had one too many get killed by cars, and partly because my parents had him declawed.
With that extra-fuzzy butt, I've got to watch him use the carpet as toilet paper quite a few times. XDD Even though I know he's scrubbing cat poo onto the carpet, it's just hilarious to watch.
