So as I mentioned, I'm a freshman in college, though almost a sophmore due to various credits I have from HS... this semester I'm taking 17 credit hours worth of class, but really, only 14 of that counts because I got dropped into the University 101 class (henceforth referred to as the "fluffy class") to "teach me how to survive college." Right. Annoying bs, in my opinion.
But in any case, I have to choose my classes for next semester, and I think I've done it fairly well, getting rid of most of my core curriculum requirements because my Calc 3 class kills all the other options I wanted to take, unless I want to take an 8 AM Calc 3 class.
But I ended up dumping 6 classes on myself, all 3 hour courses, so a total of 18 credit hours. And, true, one of them is ECE (Electrical and Computer Engineering) 101, but that's less of a fluffy class and more of a hands on tech class teaching about various professions and emphasis available in Electrical and Computer Engineering majors. So, much more useful than the fluffy class.
I'm just wondering if I should drop one of the CC requirements (of which 3 of the 6 are), since those can be taken at almost any time, and get myself back down to 15...
For those of you who've gone through this, advice? I'll probably eventually ask my advisor about it, but still...
