For all those creature abilities that you always wanted to know what they mean. :)

What I need from Agency owners, concerning the dragons that come from YOUR OWN agency...

After we've compiled a goodly number of these, we'll start collecting abilities that we're not sure where they came from, or abilities that are widespread (like psionics/telepathy/etc).

Name of Ability: Functional Magic
What It Does: Magical energy can be used as a material; generated by the body, it can be manipulated using the hands or by psionics, and can be made to light on fire, convert into water, change air currents, conduct electricity, become clothing, provide energy for the body, etc, etc. It is the ultimate multipurpose material, when manipulated by a skilled user.
Origin: Asandae (Avengaea)

Name of Ability: Magic Leeching
What It Does: Draws magic from any surrounding source. This affects all kinds of magic. The creature with this ability can choose to turn it off or on.
Origin: Daemons (Avengaea)

Name of Ability: Spectrum Shifting, Asandus-Human
What It Does: Allows the user to change from an Asandus form to a form identical to humans except for pigmentation. Skilled users can stop the shift partway through and get an in-between form. Extremely skilled users can choose to shift to any point in between Asandus and Human form, including shapeshifting specific parts of their bodies.

Hmmm. I don't really have much in the way of specifics from my own agencies, however I do specify a couple powers from the Den.

Name of Ability: Nexus Navigation
What It Does: the ability to easily teleport through the Nexus or between worlds that would otherwise be quite hard to normal teleporters.
Origin: (species name, please) Dragon (generic, pernese, pernese-descended, healing denner dragons) specific to Healing Den, and other Kshau sites.

Name of Ability: Zekiran powers - see site for details (http://www.geocities.com/dragonmasters_of_zekira)
What It Does: a variety of psionic abilities usually elemental controlling. sometimes self-actuating like self-healing and defenses.
Origin: (species name, please) Zekiran dragons (not adopted out in general yet.)

Name of Ability: psionics from Glenn dragons
What It Does: similar to zekiran powers but usually magical in origin
Origin: (species name, please) Glenn dragons (specifically Planet Twenty but any I may donate to breeding pools have these)

I tend to make my abilities fairly self explanitory~ the only thing i can think of is manipulations and shifting, so here they are. they tend to be basic, so for the purposes of this, they refer only to creatures that come of mindspace.

These also probably won't be helpful to you that much, becuase they're generic and so slightly different from everywhere else. :/ but i'll put up what i've got and you can decide what to put in your lexicon when i'm done.

Name of Ability: -insert object or element here- manipulation
What It Does: Manipulation of any specific element or object, the limits of which extend as far as the manipulator's creativity. This can go as far as a fire manipulator making a candleflame burn bigger to a manipulater of magnetic energy removing all peices of iron from anything nearby. The limit is literally the manipulator's imagination and abilities-- if they can find a way to apply their skills to create an effect, they can do it. More abstract concepts can be used as manipulation too, but this is slightly more telepathic-- song manipulators can influence others or project images into the minds of others using their song, for example.

Name of Ability: Conversion or Transfiguration.
What It Does: Turning one thing into something else. Transfiguration is usually appearance. Alchemy involves this, but on a huge scale. This can be something small scale, like turning a pot of salt water into clean water, or something huge scale, like turning wood to living tissue.

Name of Ability: Mirror-shifting
What It Does: Ability to treat mirrors like portals. Inherant in many mindspace creatures, particularly those from the more ethereal worlds. You need only to think of a place while you walk through the mirror, and you're there.
Origin: none specific. in terms of location- Rashin, Mindspace, Academy and the Etherplains.

Name of Ability: Necromancy
What It Does: Wiide field of magic, which in mindspace specifically refers to anything involving the dead and spirits. Can involve summoning dead creatures, merely communicating with the dead, traveling to the worlds of the dead, or bringing corpses to life on whatever scale. In akhet, this also involves the making of protective amulets dealing with repelling the dead and the making of shabti figures, which are basically figurines to represent servants in the afterlife or in more ethereal planes. Some incredably powerful and usually immortal necromancers/healers can restore life, instead of just raising corpses-- make them alive and repair decayed tissue-- or raise whole armies.

Name of Ability: Healing magic
What It Does: Closely tied with necromancy. Basically bodyoriented magic that involves keeping the body as it should be. Inherant knowledge in medicine usually accompanies this ability when it's one from birth, and it largely depends on knowing anatomy and putting things back the way they should be-- tying bones together and stringing muscle back the way it should be.

Name of Ability: -object-based- magic
What It Does: A form of sympathetic magic. An object, sometimes a mirror, is used as a focus of sorts. In eclectic or aquired practitioners, this is usually supplimentary and objects are chosen for traits-- a mirror for reflection, for example, or a red ribbon for power and blood. When it's a birthtrait, it's usually through something on the creature when it's born-- there are unicorns in mindspace, for example, whose magic is centered on their horn, and they use their horn much like a wand.

There's more, but i think it would be less helpful than anything i've provided. :/ sorry for the vagueness. Mycreatures don't really have original abilities.

Name of Ability: Magic Immunity
What It Does: Automatically repels effects of magic. In Athanasian dragons, the power is held in their scales, so non-scaled areas such as the eyes and mouth may still be vulnerable
Origin: Athanasians
Darkling Dawn: Fauna Frenzy Open to candidates; flights open to males/females; rukel eggs/breedings available.
Drockh-Tallahn Castle: 3 eggs, 2 available. Females and males needed.
Sgiath Wolfkeep: 7 pups available
Sedona Weyr: 12 eggs, Deadline March 8. Chasers and a female needed.

I haven't got anything unique to my agency (at least not yet) but I'd like to suggest adding how much of this is passed to the next gen/how many generations it takes for it to leave the genes (assuming the dragon breeds with something that doesn't have the same abilities).

Powers: Anything related to elements. You can call it what you like, but powers will be defined for an individual Lvarian at birth; which can be pretty much anything and is up to the birth agency to decide and define.

Name of Ability: Elemental Magic
What It Does: Variable. Basicly anything you can do with an element, within reason. Conjure gusts of wind, make something burst into flame, manipulate water. Can usually manipulate elements but not conjure them out of nowhere with the exception of fire. Also, involves a breath weapon of the specific type.

Name of Ability: Gecnawan Psionics
What It Does: Like psionics only uberfied. Picture Jean Gray from the X-Men movies only not schitzo. Extremely good psychic-lifting strength, telepathy, and teleportation. Talents such as mind reading, mind control, predicting the future, and speaking with the dead can be learned through intense practice and meditation, though mind control is strictly forbidden.

Name of Ability: Shifting
What It Does: Full shifting ability to human form. Shifted dragon is indistinguishable from a regular human. In fact, the shifter is every bit as much a human that happens to be able to turn into a dragon as a dragon that happens to be able to turn into a human. Breeding is possible in each so it depends on which form you were born in which you really "consider" yourself more often.
