Experimenting with the FGPC

Okay, so as I was coloring/shading the images for clutches 13 and 14, I kinda got depressed because this is the only time I can actually use them unless I breed the same species or parents again later one. I kinda hate spending hours (plus a program crash which adds on hours because you were almost done in the first place...redoing all those feathers was NOT fun! :P) on these templates and never using them again...

So, if I figure out a way for the FGPC to 'recreate' the species later on, would that be cool with all of you. Namley Phe and others who have the genetic manpulation stuff going on. Not sure how I would translate this to the FGPC and if I shouldn't because that seems quite advanced for them (not sure if they could to that technelogically...yeah...me spelled that wrong...grrr)...anyway...I don't want to step on any toes or anything but I would really love to reuse some of these templates. The Danachian, Fire Dragons, and the pure bred dragons are less of a 'problem' - it's just clutches like the Spell Weaver/Tavrayn and the Amkalian/Mutt crosses...

Okay...that said...And I think that was what I was going to post earlier and forgot once I got into the forum...hmmm...yeah...Yakima scatter-brained tonight! :P

If you were thinking of re-using templates, maybe re-introduce a kind of ranking system so that people come back to try for different colours or patterns? I think a big thing with why people hadn't been sending more stories into agencies with one or two templates was because after getting one, they felt that getting another was like a repeat, maybe not worth the effort (which is silly, since they take forever to colour and are our babies and I know how that feels!)

You could put them on rotation, perhaps; maybe that could help?

Yeah...true...I'm going on haitus like after I finish all my planned clutches anyway but still even if I don't reuse my old tempaltes (I plan on only doing purebred clutches after this of species I already have for all my sites), it's still an idea I've been playing with. Though, I would rather leave the color modifications to the FGPC and let other people play with more advanced genetics...:P

You could give them out as gifts or as random dragons~ I'm saving all the templates I do for that purpose, with the exception of the flammaagua ones. or just do random giveaways and the like.
but that's a boring idea compared to what's been suggested.
