Photoshop?

Did someone at some point have a version of Photoshop they were willing to share? Because I find myself without, and (dammit) The Gimp, while seeming to be both functional and well-designed, seems to lack a function essential to template-building. D:

GIMP? That's freeware, isn't it? I think you can go to their website and just download it for free.

The GIMP is freeware, yep, I went and downloaded it, and it doesn't have something I need... or if it does I can't for the life of me find it. T__T It's open-source, which is bloody cool. I was gonna feel all bohemian art-studenty, using it... XD Darn.

:3 I think it was Shiolar, Shard, but I can't remember for sure.

I have photoshop elements 2.0, but it's not full version photoshop and i dont know if it has the feature you need. I also have photoshop CS but it's a pirated version and I lost the original disc image ages ago. Also I kind of ... need ... my ps elements cd but if I could figure out how to make an image of it then I could make a copy for you. You ought to be able to find a full version on bit torrent fairly easily though if you're not morally objected to that sort of thing.

I like gimp, but it always died for me.

I have a copy of photoshop 7, but i can't get it off the cd. :/ i can send you a cd through the mail, though, if you don't mind giving me your address. -shrugs- that's the best i can do. ^^;

i can also offer you photoshop elements 1 the same way.

-nodsalute- makes sense. XP Though photoshop is a bitch to seperate from the cd, to my knowledge, except version like 1 and 2 and whatnot. Damn technology~

And if you do take me up on it, you can keep it. I think it's a pirited copy that i bought off of amazon for 30$. XP I've already made like 7 copies of the CD, because it's my favorite version and i can't stand to loose it again~~

Try limewire? but all i've gotten from there is CS, and nothing lower.

I got PSP7 in downloadable format. It's available at http://shiolar.merseine.nu/psp7.exe and it's about 30meg to download. If possible, could you start downloading after 11pm GMT / 6pm EST so it doesn't eat up bandwidth that I'm using?

I also have PSP9 and Photoshop 7, but both of those are substantially larger. What I'm thinking I might do with those is put them up for download when I go away for a few days in October. My upload rate is limited to... 50kps I think, so having things of 100meg or more available requires some planning...

I'm'a have to find another option. ^.^; There is no way I can just not-use Photoshop till october. XD I'll leave this up for people to read in case someone else has any downloadables/transferables, but Ness, I may end up taking you up on that offer of yours.

I'm just now checking out the power of my upload connection and comparing that to the size of my PhotoShop 7 file...

You got cable or Broadband JKat? If you can get a sustainable download rate of about 50k per second with your connection, then you can download Photoshop 7 off me in about an hour. I don't have the bandwidth for more than one person to download it at a time, which is why I've been reluctant to put it up...

But I can do it just for you, if that appeals at all?

I can actually do the same for PSP9, too, which is around the same file size. It's all do-able, just requires some good timing.

Okay, here's another problem for the assembled collective to solve: I'm trying to install CS2 and it keeps givning me errors and aborting installation. The first one was 'Invalid Drive I' and now 'My Pictures 5-23-06 contains an invalid character' My My pictures folder used to have that name (So I know how up to date it is) and now it doesn't. I tried renaming it to that once more, but it didn't do anything. Any suggestions?

It's fine. I don't need to be online for you to get it... I arrange the times for when I'm not on, actually... It's a big enough file that it would totally wreck my connection if I try to use it at the same time... Basically, though, you're good to go any time from an hour and a half from now.
