I know there will be other people who've got characters, dragons and mad scientists who can either shapeshift or genetically alter stuff. SO!

Here's a place to put them. Mine are fair game just tell me who you're using so I can write it down. Any questions or more notes I should clarify just ask. It's linked to the WOZ site, so if you need more detailed information than you can shake a stick at, go for it... Though it's going to be going under the knife as soon as I get InDesign and have my PDF made for the rpg...

I would imagine either, both or whatever suits your fancy. I listed mine as I would have if making their character pages (some of which have them, actually). To keep it simpler for me, I just lumped em all on one page. (I've got a 'winged zekirans' page similarly done somewhere.)

well, i suppose this is relevant:

Most things that come from mindspace can shapeshift, or atleast have the abilities within their species. IT's randomly spread through the populations of Kanz, Lirianz, Orianz, and Sandranis.

Mindspace has the power to genetically alter it's inhabitants after awhile, over prolonged exposure~ You can get purposeful genetic alterations in mindspace as well, in addition to my alterntive breeding methods, but i dunno if those count.

most of my characters/the characters native to mindspace can shapeshift weakly, as well. :/ it's just unspoken, so yeah, but most of the anthros on mindspace can assume an almost-full human form and an animal form.

In my universe there is a technology called transmutation that will temporarily alter ones DNA to create a form of shapeshifting, combining your DNA with that of another species to create how you would look if you were that species. Direct transmutation, in which you can turn into an exact copy of something, is also possible but much more difficult. Transmutation occurs through a ring that has a small computer wired around it that interfaces with your DNA. This computer can be programmed to hold the DNA of other general species, or exact beings, and alter you to look the same. I know it's not very scientifically accurate but I like my transmutation rings. I came up with it when I wanted an alternative to animorphs

Anyone theoretically can have a transmutation ring regardless of species but they are given out very sparingly and only by the government. They are usually given to military agents for the purpose of espionage. If a civilian wants to use it for oh, say, interspecies or same-gendered reproduction, they must apply for a liscence to own one. Each ring is tracked and highly regulated to make sure that they are not abused.
