Ok, so.... the Chips.
If you recall, I originally said I was going to offer dragons with 'association' to DF (ie, any dragon I've drawn hatched after this point, including the event dragons, obviously) a way to return for a visit, and if they do desire, have a little work done, you might say.
(I don't want to step on the Cyborware toes, also as I've said, but I did need a way to 'rate' what you can ask for. ^^;;;)
There are five tiers for the Chips, as mentioned at pickup - Blue, White, Black, Silver, and Prism. These are like genetic 'rating' markers, they indicate what sort of complexity you can ask for. Obviously, you can get more complex the higher the ranking chip.
Conversion rate -
1 White = 2 Blue
1 Black = 2 White = 4 Blue
1 Silver = 1 Black & 1 White = 6 Blue
1 Prism = 2 Black = 8 Blue
There are five tierd because 1) the traits you recieve in exchange for chips can be passed on to their offspring, as DF deals solely in genetic manipulation, and 2) you are permitted to hold or 'stockpile' your chips as you earn them - they are not dragon-specific, and can be bounced between your dragons however you want. (While they can only be used on the dragons restricted above, that doesn't mean you can't save them until you get the level you want.) They cannot be transfered between different people (ie, you guys yourselves) without asking me first, and having a valid story reason - like, if you 'lose' yours somewhere they can be found by another, that sort of thing.
You can break a 'higher level' chip into smaller parts if you want, too.
Earning them is easy. If you get your dragon up on time on a basic page, you get at least a Blue Chip. Chip ratings overall are affected by stats pages or story you write, effort you put in, and the overall feel I get from getting to read stuff. Obviously, this is very vague, and for good reason - cause what I like changes alot! :D
Now, as for what they can do. I don't have a super-awesome chart thing yet, though I have one in the works. At the moment, I can post 'guidelines' and answer questions from there.
Blue Chip: Very minor markings/color-changes/cosmetics, like spots near the eyes, or color highlights in a tail tuft....that kind of thing. Nothing extremely serious, but something that can be noticed.
White Chip: Starting to get more noticable in terms of appearance, though again, nothing extremely different. More complex patterns for markings become available, and certain small color changes can be made to the existing phenotype.
Black Chip: Ok, here we go, getting a bit more complex. This is the level where you can start to add (or remove) certain traits - ones that don't effect the overall skeletal structure and muscle build - like changing or adding horns, spikes, feathers, some areas of fur, changing teeth or ears....
Silver Chip: Far more advanced, here you can see more substantial changes going on, such as wing and tail adjustments. By this level, you could alter a little more than half your original coloration, or add markings and such to about the same area.
Prism Chip: The big one, you might say. A complete color overhaul, or full body markings... Additional limbs are possible, such as another tail or extra set of wings (though these may only be decorative).... That kind of thing.
Again, vague because I haven't had any requests to base on.
Also note that, in some cases, certain requests maybe recieve a single Blue Chip discount (you get one back, but it will always cost a minimum of one so you don't get a discount on the basic Blue) if the requested trait is merely recessive and already in the dragon's genetic code. ^_^
I hope this helps explain a bit. Please note that chips can be exchanged not just for visible traits. A female might be interested in the ability to bear more offspring at a time (which would be a significant request, but doable), or the addition of a trait into the genetics that would cause offspring to carry a certain trait, appearance, or ability without fail. That sort of thing.
Again, please feel free to ask questions. Questions help me refine things.
So in response to Caco - while a change in the dragon's horns might not show on his alternate form, a particularly interesting marking or so could easily show up if you wanted.
And a note to everyone, in regards to one of these females bearing offspring - they take a great deal after Dorah not just in size. Depending on the size and breed of the father, these females will lay anywhere between 10 and 25 eggs per clutch - and yes, offspring come in eggs. ^^;;;
(Another caution - it is possible that while in Malakym form, if they engage in ~cough~mating~cough~, the males can father 'half-dragon' offspring in women of human form, and females can actually give live birth to them. - A female that is with clutch or child cannot change form again until the birth, or she runs an insanely high risk of losing her offspring. -)

I didn't see that question, Dray, my bad. ^^;;;
There'd be at least one significantly sharp part on a 'bladed tail' but it's pretty variable otherwise.

For right now, email or PM me. And it depends on what you're asking for, you'd needa give me more specific info or some ideas for me to be able to tell you (again, since I don't have a chart yet). ^^

Heeeeeeeeeeeey, DF!
>.> It's 12:47 at night, which is a record for me for staying up late in a while (pretty lame, isn't it? XD But it feels all of 4AM for me, considering!) but I have my Tanjo-baby up here:
http://www.deviant-uprising.com/dray/bo ... m#tanjoubi
I hope I didn't forget to mention anything! *pets him* XD I wanna draw his humanoid version, too, but I dunno if I'll get that done. Still! >:D
You can also find mention of him in a story-bit I just finished, here:
http://www.deviant-uprising.com/dray/bo ... ique01.htm
Just search for 'tanjo' if you don't want to read the whole thing, since most of it is about Denique, his partial-bond. ^^;
Best dragon evar. X3 <3!
Can't wait to see about putting that silver chip into use! >:D

*giggles* X333 I only hope that I didn't put Phe off by it. I know she's not too interested in that kind of stuff so I'm hoping it's ambiguous enough that she can roll her eyes and sigh and add him to the candidate/sponsor-page, instead of me getting a brick thrown at my head.
<.< Would it be possible to use one of those chips to alter Tanjo's horns so that they actually /do/ curl about, kind of like thicker ram's horns? How much chippiness would that cost?

Sooooo.....some people asked for a Hayate page. Well, he's got one in the works, so you can link here.
http://kynn.lostmysanity.net/Meyan/Anuh ... ayate.html
His history isn't fleshed out because I wanna see if I can make it into a comic kinda thing.....cause it's really spiffy.
Yes, my art in paint is teh suck. I'm working on a new piccie. XD That's a placeholder.
And lastly - if anyone has actually seen the -old- stats sheet....well, you may notice he's not listed as a completely and totally evil bastard anymore. Cause he's not. ^_^ Arr. XD

Oh, and in answer to that question, Dray, yes you can do that alteration, once I do a little 'math' and figure out what it would 'cost'. :D;;;;

*raises hand* I have a coupla questions, too. ^.^; First of all, though, I'll say that at least Taiji is gonna come for a visit, since he is one vain little beastie. XD
Kay, to the questions. First, would a majin caste's wings look the same in their alternate form as they do in their dragon forms? As in, number of didgits, fur/feathers, color, etc..? And for the traits in general, do they have to erm.. 'use up' their trait allowance? Like, if they are allowed three traits, could they possibly only have one or two instead of all three?
I only ask 'cause I had some time yesterday to sketch out my two boys, and I couldn't think of what they would end up with and/or how it would look. ^.^; Well, for Yorihiko, anyway. (Though I didn't have the list of traits with me at the time, so.. yeah.. will be re-drawing them shortly. X3)

I think I tried to explain this before, but as clarification - the wings could be plain or look like their dragon-form ones, it's up to you. Same for like...the horns and tail and such.
As for the trait number, well, that's a tricky part. See, if you look at the chart, and say you had a Maou caste....and then neglected one of the traits, then you'd end up on the level of Kijo, which would be fine if you intended that. But if you have something like Majin, which has a specific caste trait, if you dropped to the next one down, you'd lose the wings, kinda deal. x_x
So it's really kinda set, unless you want to request a caste change, really.... But remember that you can interpret the traits in many different ways. I'm sure you can figure something out. ^^;;; Or if, for some reason, you can think up a trait that isn't on my list, don't be afraid to run it by me.

*GRIN* Oh I was so hoping it was.. X3 *sketchsketchscribblescribble*
(And just to be sure, is a caste specific trait like majin wings counted in the trait allowance? .. I mean, would they have three traits, and the caste-specific, or is the caste-specific one of the three traits? *nit-picky* ^.^;;;;;)

The traits are separate from anything you get automatically. So Majin have four - and one is automatically wings. That kinda thing.

Grr, just realized I still haven't figured out these trait things for my girl! I'll have to sit down and work it out when I get home from work.
