I like the tine suggestion, actually. I was afraid of, with the bats, makign the wingies too big, but that makes them just long enough without being so huge that they'd crush my little bonehorses. ;-; your guidethings really helped me, mystic.
Does anyone else have any more touchup suggestions?
Ps, when time comes, should i just do a giveaway or attempt a clutchy type thing.
Heh...in my opinion, one wing should be as long as or longer then the creature so that it seems (in my mind) more realistic to fly. Most of my creatures get big wings but they fold nicley when not in use - which is nice! Looks cool, though DSN - creepy as I'm not into creepy stuff that much but your interpreation on the horse skeleton and stuff is done quite well. ;P *runs off to sleep*
PS: Don't ask about my avatar at the moment. I was bored *facepalm*
I'd say first offer giveaways within reason. Then we can offer up for ... nests? Stables? Heh - y'gonna customize them with ribbons and bows, eh? Flowers and a straw hat just don't seem right ... maybe dead roses, barbed wire...
Beautiful! :D Well... creepy. Which is, I guess, what we're going for here. Yeah, I'd say giveaways first within reason, so that you get some out there, then set up your own agency and decide how you want to send them out.
As a gereral note-- i'm gonna try to colour as many as i possibly can before this friday, when i go back to my mom's and have like, no colouring software or anything to that end. And that'll be what's available in the givaway. Does anyone have cooolour suggestions or something to that end?

That's something i was thinking about. Usually i do it that way, like with dragons, but eh. Wingsails all the way to the tail or the flanks. But not on thestrals. because I want those spiiinal ridges revealed. >.> I'm allowed my vanity too.
Besides, did you see those wings? They're tattered and full of holes. I doubt these thestrals could fly with whole, huge and extended wings, much less ones like that. With holes and tatters, they'd either spend too much energy keepign themselves in the air, or the wind would whistle right through them and send them sprawling down on the ground and breaking every one of their ickle bones. And horses aren't that aerodynamic in the first plaace~
So I'm kind of ignoring the technicalities of it. I redid the wings because they looked like crap the first time around, and the second time it was too akward. Because bat wings would be too tall, without the second tines, so i didn't want to make them any larger, and, in the process, they weren't long enough. And then mystic suggested lengthened tines and now they look good. so yes.

You know I was thinking ... JKR has said numerous times that in the HP universe it is impossible to tame a dragon. But what about befrieinding one? What if a dragon followed you around out of its own free will? Just a thought *whistles*
