*totally glomps Shiolar* You so totally made my day. Look - happy tears and everything.
Been thinking of those "old days" a lot lately. (Just a few minutes ago, actually. I was checking the AAM email at shadowsiders... which would've/should've been my Dark-Side-of-Danach place. YEah, I'm babbling now.)

*glee at the memory* The Braethas Raug! How very scary I remember that, thought those dragons were teh prettys(don't I have one maybe? *makes note to check folder*. ^^ Anywho - I'm partly still lost in all of this and don't worry about any hate from me - kind of glad to have my 'that seems familiar but I've never seen that before' feeling answered.

I think I'll stick with Shiolar, seeing as everybody's got used to calling me that over the last nine months. But seeing as I'm used to using dozens of different names, I'll also respond to anything else you want to call me. (I have actually been known to answer to 'Oi you'.)
I'll get some Raug records together this evening, Dray. Just to prove who I am. I don't remember anyone asking to make a comic of a Candidate, but that was a long time ago, so....
I still have the Fionabhainn templates, so there can certainly be some more Danachians out there. I guess this answers my question about whether I should resurrect Cathair Fionabhainn, huh? What I don't have anymore is the White River templates. But I'm pretty sure someone's got one I can de-colourise.

Thanks Mystic! Really not quite sure what actually happened to the files originally, but...
I'll have to think of something to use 'em for now.
Merc, if you're gonna keep reminding me how you were right, I'm gonna have to do something horrible to Zack in the RP. Savage butterfly attack or something.

Yes he would, and yaayyyyy - please oh please do a giveaway of those. I *love* those images. Remember I collected a batch of your dragons for my old-world Old Guard wings?

But like I said I'd *adore* seeing new coloring versions of those! Heck, Miniocith the brown/blue I got is the father of a LOT of Healing Den bicolor dragons, including Mazeru the greeting dragon at the HD, and whoever else they've bred with along the way.

Yeah... I think I do... Off to PSP with me, then?
In the mean time, enjoy a large page full of mostly incomplete Raug records.
http://shiolar.merseine.nu/mirus/raug.htm
On there are the names of all the Raugies from Groups 1 and 2, with as much of their parents details as I can find or remember. One pairing in there has a nearly full pedigree, namely because I stumbled on it while looking for the father's colour...
What I don't seem to have is a record of the Group 3 dragons. I have all the images, but I don't know what those dragons got called. They're named by parentage, so at least I know that much. So, if you know of a Raugie not on that list, they'll be from Group 3 - lemme know, and I can match them up to an image so I can give you the parents at least...
For a lot of the parents, all I have is a name. I had a look for their pages, but a lot of them are gone now. Some of you might recognise some names, colours, species, etc...

All right, my two cents time. XD
I think it was very wrong of you to lie and deceive us. Yes, yes, online personas are all about us being who we are not, fantasy, blah blah. But generally a person's persona has a lot of themselves in it, and aren't outright lies. Ironically, Sil discussed with me long ago the possibility of you being "Kim", but as I wasn't around when you were anyone but Shiolar, I didn't know >__>
I don't care if everyone else gets mad at me because they seem to be all fine and huggy with this, but I find it hard to trust you, even though you've "come clean" because you called YOURSELF a compulsive liar in your first post.
In the end it doesn't matter, because I might be the only one to feel like this. ::shrugs:: And I'm not hating you, or condemning you. I am just saying I find it hard to trust you. Believe you? Sure. Trust you? Not yet.

Just a thought, and not really an important one. That post just made me think.
Where's the trust involved in all this? I mean, there's minor trust like you'll hatch your clutch on time, blah blah and we're all cool and friendly like, but i mean. We're all people on a forum, aren't we? We aren't giving each other our social security numbers or personal information like that, so the level of trust that's involved here isn't that big, is it? There's trust involved in giving art, namely that the other person wont steal it or will use it like you've specified, but that, and the trust that comes with friendships if you decide to forge them, is all that;s really involved.
Then again, I don't really trust in the first place, so my opinion is biased. >.> Thanks for making me think of that, lakota~ It was something i hadn't considered before.

Er, I'm not trying to offend anyone here so please try not to take it that way, and forgive me if this sounds rant-ish because I know it will no matter what I do ... but since when does it really matter? This is online dragon adoption. It's ROLE playing. Who cares if Kim and Shiolar are the same person. It's not real life, nobody got hurt, its not like we have to submit a name address and social security number in order to join the nexus forums for gods sake. Lakota might be a sixty year old man who fantasizes about high school girls for all I know. I don't think you are, but I can't prove that you're not. That's why it's called a screen name. Honestly I don't see anything wrong with quitting a community and re-joining under a different name if that's what feels right to you. I did the same thing a few years ago, when I/Zialana quit back in 2002 I was way too stubborn to re-join but then I felt the urge to write candidates again so I rejoined as Astra. I didn't think anything of it at the time I just thought it was time to move on and adopt a new avatar persona (which is ironic because I'm writing Zia's story now as I speak). True I never particularly said that I /wasn't/ Zialana, but I never had a big arrow pointing at my head saying ZIA HERE either. And sometimes I'm sure I've mentioned an agency that I had when I was Zialana as my own because honestly I never really thought it was a big deal. I mean, I play world of warcraft, and I have a lot of different characters. I even have one character who is a male, based on a char in a story I wrote. I never bother to mention that Katarena and Doriaan are the same person because I don't think that it needs mentioning. Does that make me untrustworthy? What's the difference?
Again Lakota I'm very very sorry if I've offended you I'm not trying to attack you personally here I'm just trying to address the situation the way I see it.
edit
looks like DNS said exactly what I said only much less rantish. So go read their post

Well, it's not like we get on very well as it is, is it Lakota?
I already said that I know what I did was wrong.
What it comes down to is I originally lied because I was nervous of coming back into the world of dragoning; I didn't know who'd I'd be meeting that might remember me from before. There were people back then that I really didn't like very much. Falora was one, for example. I had no idea if she was still around or not.
I didn't expect to stay for long, either. I was having a nostalgic few weeks, and when I act on nostalgia, I generally end up indulging myself for a few weeks, then getting bored and moving on again. I didn't want to come back as 'Kim', have old friends get excited to see me again, only to have me get bored again and disappear. So I lied.
By the time I'd decided that I really wanted to stay, that I was having fun with Mirus and with adopting dragons, it was kinda too late to say anything. I'm a coward, I've admitted that. I was afraid. Very afraid. So I said nothing until the PM I sent to Shard a month ago.
I've had some horrific experiences on the internet in the past. So my automatic response when meeting people these days is to just create a random persona and jump in. If it all goes badly, I can just leave. Run away. I'm a coward, remember? I drop the persona, and I disappear. It's safe.
So yeah. I know what I did was wrong. I'm not gonna say that my excuses make it alright. They're just my reasons, so you can understand why I did it. I'm a coward and I was afraid of getting hurt. I lie about my identity because of that.
I don't really care if you trust me or not. You don't really know me as a person, regardless of identity, so I wouldn't expect you to trust me. I'd be rather concerned if you did trust me, actually.

Welcome back, even if I vaugly remember your identiy as Kim and what you ran. I was around back then but Falas was kinda...small in the eyes of others like...oh...say, Talor Cliff!

I think I had a couple Falas dragons. I think you might have deceased them already, though. Heh.
Anyway, the Raugies you have in the Shimmer Frenzy are probably on that page I posted... just do a search for their names, and they should show up. If not, show me the images, and I can track 'em down for ya.

I can't remember if three of mine came from the Raug or not. Acutally, the more I think about it, the surer I am that they didn't. o.O Peloristh, Ontayaneth, and Fenistraneth. Do you recall where they came from?
Ah! I /knew/ I had a Raugie! Darhinormesth.

Weeell... I just checked my records. They're from Clutch 2, the first one that used that template. I didn't record the parents, but starry Thentrith and black Riganth are probably a good bet...

Even if it's simple, it's still very nice! Yaay!
Hydee let me do new color on the Seascape images - I was going to use them for the Victory Dance images but since she told me after I'd finished up my first set for that, they're not in use there. Redoing color is sometimes all that's needed to spruce things up.
