Off to Seattle - backish?

Post by Indigo »

Well I'm back in Alaska now with access to scanner and computer and all that. *shrug*

Tonight I'm leaving for Seattle to go to Sakuracon and visit with relatives, I'll be back April 5th-6th and I am taking my laptop so I will probably be able to check the forums/email and update my website and all that I just don't know how much time I'll have for that while I'm down there.

hum... think I'll post a reply here when I find a reasonable way to connect to the internet, should only be a couple days. ^__^

nope, no trouble finding a wireless connection thus far.

Seattle is neat - quite different and yet a lot like Anchorage. I'm placing bets that it will hardly dizzle while I'm here, why? I bought an umbrella. ;D

Beware, people will know you're not from around Seattle if you actually use your umbrella. ^^; Yes we have a festival called Bumpershoot (umbrellas? O.o; ) but we never use them. >> And you're lucky, the weather's been ... very nice lately. Unseasonably warm.

Sounds like Vancouver - only the out-of-towners use their umbrellas ~_^ Hope you're having fun in Seattle!

>:D Or like newcomers in Calgary or Edmonton, where they wear giant parkas in -2 celsius weather! *cackle* X33 Shorts and t-shirts season! (Well... not quite, but still! X33)

;>> -2 Celsius... Even I know that's cold, and I'm an American. ^^; But... layers all the way man. ^^

It got up to wow, must have been almost 60 today. Sunny and waaarm! I was stripping layers left and right! XD; Of course, I'll wear long sleeves in 85 degree weather if I can pull it off so you just know what I was wearing today... ;>>

heh, sounds like Alaska too - you can tell who the outsiders are because they were coats in autumn. My defination of cold is -12, 30 and above is strip and jump in the lake. XD

I did go out with my umbrella when there was just a little dizzle and got half way to where I was going before it started pouring so I give up and went back to where I was staying. lol. At least not looking like I'm from Seattle explains my dazed expression of 'I have no clue where I am'.

The wireless here seems dependant on the weather. *pokes it gingerly*
