I'm really proud of this, so I thought I'd post it here too XD Doing an image with a background is a big thing for me (though I'm hoping to get in the habit of doing them.. eh heh).

I'd originally started it with the intent to sell, but now I want to keep it! XD;

What setting do you use on your scanner to get the colors to come out right? Mine always come out kind of light, but when I try to darken the colors the paper (white background) turns dark too. ><; I think it has to do with playing with the shadow/halftones/highlights or something but I thought I'd ask someone who had their pic turn out so well ^^

Yeah, ACEOs can be prints - it's got the whole 'Editions' part in the name, after all ~_^ I want to make keychains with this on it - the keychain holders that I have are just this size! I think I have a project for myself tonight..

Er, I just use the default settings on my scanner >_> Sometimes I'll adjust the contrast since my scanner can be kind of dark, but usually my scans don't require too much editing. So I'm afraid I can't help you out there ^_^;

Neishai: contrast and brightness, man. Higher contrast means higher difference between light and dark. In my scanner settings, I usually have "highlights" at full 255, "shadows" at full 0, and midtones anywhere between 1.5 and 2.5, depending on the image I'm scanning. That's my scanner, though, and it usually washes things out like crazy, so those settings are really rather extreme.

Though I do have a tendency to just do a white paint-fill or two on pure-white backgrounds, because if I use setting where they're calibrated for a pure white background, shading (particularly on white creatures) doesn't show up well at all >.<
