I'm back! And, omigosh, you will never believe (well, maybe you will) what I found. There's this one totally awesome used bookstore, Shakespeare's, not too far from the capitol. I stopped in there on the way back to the hotel after dinner... anyway, I was looking around at the science fiction stuff, didn't see anything much I'd ever heard of though, then I moved on to fantasy...

Hardcover book club edition of the Dragonriders of Pern, in good condition--the dustjacket's torn a little, but it's in great shape, really--for $9. Maybe much for a used book, but I think not, considering it's hardcover and a 3-in-1. Eeeeeeeeeeee! And the dragonses on the cover look totally the way I think they should. I'm gonna scan the cover so any of you guys who don't have it can see it... I'd never even seen it before Friday.

I have a copy of the bookclub edition 3-in-1 also... I think I paid $6 (total stroke of luck). My sister and I practically destroyed Mom's copy (bookclub edition) because we (and mom!) read it so much. Frizzle had it rebound this summer when she worked in the University bindery... ^_^

Madison, Wisconsin? I'm going to have to look for that bookstore next time I visit. (Frizz and I have friends there.)
