Evil... in the Nexus!

So, would anyone be interested in taking part in some Nexus-wide evil?

I'm not talking about just hydras and xeno-dragons and chaotics appearing and having clutches and beating the crap out of people... I'm talking about something worse. >:D Something that all dragons and their companions/bonds/affiliates/etc. can hate, even the 'evil' ones.

I'm not quite certain as to what I need plotted, since as this point it's all very fuzzy... but I'm thinking that it's a good reason for some good-old-fashioned story writing on behalf of all the writers here, some plotting on behalf of folks who just like to do that, and maybe even some drawing, if folks feel so inclined! It would also be a good way to kill off (or at least smack down) some characters or dragons that people want killed or smacked down, kind of like in Mystic's Tris'Hath war... though probably minus the role-play.

My basic premise is that /something/ begins to sweep into the Nexus, probably something that horribly debilitates, kills, or turns dragons and larger beasts to its side (whichever people are more interested in), and the planets and realms and such have to team up again in order to defeat it! I'm making up characters right now that can go out as a vangaurd to warn against this mass of eeevil, if people are interested in using them, but I'd really like to know who's interested before I go too indepth on everything! ^_^

And.... yeah, for the people who are interested in breedings and such only, I'm sure that there should be one or so clutches coming from this. XD Just because it's the Nexus, dangit, that's what we do!

This would be interesting, considering I've hinted at some big upcoming evil/danger/problem in a few of my stories for Malnev. I just got stuck trying to figure out what "it" might be (and ended up mostly ignoring that part of the story), so this would probably be perfect

I think I might make it something where people who are interested can all plot together, put forth the main characters they'd like to use, RP if they want (though that isn't at all necessary), and I'll collect all of the info and distribute the pertinent bits for people to react to...

Perhaps I'll turn it (or parts of it) into a challenge for those who are interested in participating! Say... I'll give out a monthly bit of info for people to respond to, and then give out rewards to those who want to participate? I'm not sure how that would work, but it might be fun! :D I'm getting all excited about it, now. XD

I don't know about you guys, but I'm beginning to lean towards having this evil thing be more of a usurping sort of evil then an outright killing-off-evil. O_o' Though maybe not dragon-borg. XD That would just be silly...

Right now I have a bit of story for Dray, just giving warnings about it... but nothing solid. >.>" I think it's insinuated itself into a section of the xeno's, but it could probably just as easily nom pernese types or avens, Malnev-types or Enkeyns or whatever you want to use. XD We'll seee!

Gail, if you want to do plotness, how about using those anti-magic folk you started up? I think they could play a key role, if you wanted!

Woot, Jess! :D Maybe we can work on using this big mass to flesh out your story, like you said!

JKat, just let me know what kinds of dragons, etc... the more the merrier!

XD I wonder if it's possible to run this like some of those online games... Shard and Sil and folks who play a lot of them, don't you have to gang up to beat a big baddie in some of your games? How's that usually work? (I'm thinking that everyone will have something to do to help defeat this eeeevil, just so it's more of a team-effort then anything. ^^;)

Ooooh, this looks like fun. Mirus has plenty of plots already, but another one is always good. Plotting, writing, roleplaying, drawing, I'm up for it all.

I doubt I'd get involved.

For starters, Lanse'shri is not exactly truely part of the Nexus--Dyrmyst is even further out. Both are protected by stong barriers, as they're used to evil (or corruption) coming knocking on their door.

Second, they just had their own war--yes, it was over a hundred years ago, but that's equivilent to a few months in terms of the immortals. The Dyrmyst dragons and Dalake haven't recovered entirely.

Dalake/Dyrmyst adults can be used--it's their decision, their adults--Dyrmyst children can't.

For now I'm going to work on a story-bit to present, and then I'll ask you guys who you'd like to use for this big old plot (they can change or be added to at any time, if you get any ideas!), and I'll try my best to work out some mini-plot ideas for everyone (and try for cross-overs, if you guys are feeling ambitious and would like to interact with others!)

Something similar to this (haven't entirely worked it out yet) happened to Splintyr, the Schattarneki homeworld. That's why the Schattarneki are on Sitheil Tirean now with Lakota :3 Basically the Schattarneki used to be bipedal, the dominant "human-niche" life form on their planet, but another race (either alien or just in a hidden part of Splintyr) got all huffy about it and waged war on the Shattarneki, killing off several subspecies and literally de-evolving the Schatties back into a quadrupedal, more animalistic form.

It's all vague in my head as I haven't nailed down Splintyr's history yet, but I love stuff like this! The Schatties would be especially against such evil. Maybe, depending on how things/plots go, the race that destroyed Splintyr could be participating in the evil-thing here? >_> like they followed the Schatties or something? <_<

I don't know if I'd have time to do any rp'ing but feel free to use some of my evilness. I was just last night thinking about doing more with Julian/Jon/etc, Sanger's antagonist, as he really *is* evil. He'd be happy to join the ranks of whoever could help him have the most dirty awful fun.

Sweet, that's like what happened to the Sharians - except in reverse XD XD They became bipedular!

In my Otherforest I have the Deer folk whose bipedal form *should* be accessed only by shapeshifting, but their 'lower' form got stuck in it and are rather bitter about it...

I'd like to if I have time (the ever-reaching "if I have time" ... sigh) it sounds very fun. my only question is if we have an evil force on our own planet (demons, hydras, whatev) can they join forces with this evil, while the good people on our planet join forces with the good guys, or will there be an option for the good and evil forces on individual worlds to band together against a greater menace, or some of both, or will our personal evils be ignored altogether? The Adanzartec plotline on Cyrna is getting kinda stagnant (they have a huge battle, some characters die, some characters live, and they get help from the wild dragons ... now what?) So this could make some interesting plotting, at least in adoption-world ... I suppose I should keep it out of the novel to avoid getting sued

Anyway, as I said, it sounds great, if I have the time for it.

I was thinking that whatever this is, it's something that even your personal bad-guys can despise... which would set up some interesting plotness in either put aside past woes in order to working together or having to fight two different groups at the same time!

If people would like to set up an RP, I'm all for it! ^^; I can't promise that I'll be there all the time to guide it out of stagnant bits, but it could be fun.

Hm, I had something possibly in mind for an evil force to come up against, or to join, in my own plotlines, but this sounds a little more far-reaching and less join-able than what I had been thinking of (nevermind that it is still hazy in my mind). Even so, this would be a lot of fun.......if I had the time. Oh well... should be good to read up on. :3

I suppose it would have to depend on the nature of the Beast... If people are taken over or possessed, I suppose some would have no choice. If it were some sort of invasion or infestation, few if any would survive let alone join. (Ignore for the moment the fact that we'd have to come up with armies and whatnot to fight back.) If it were an intelligent evil, I'm sure there would be some that would join of their own free will, for whatever reason. :3

They really have to either have some uncounterable (to this date) power, numbers, or really damn good charisma to pull off any ursurping. They need a goal of some sort, even if it's just to impregnate all the men and turn the females into ferret-like warrior-servants with a drone mind. O_o :: snickers ::

I'd love to see an "evil" which is good enough to let people, as is seen before, "join" thinking they have some commonality, only to find, too late, that this evil force really doesn't have a "goal" that can be understood, and more than anything, it is /evil/. Unadultered, pure, and as unstoppable as the Halloween sequels.
