Was thinking... would anyone be interested in a sort of roleplay-giveaway, rping the hatching and such and recieving an image? I've been working on a space-dwelling dragon concept, and then I crossbred with Pernese and got some very neat-colored critter.... there might also be a few more similar to the non-Pernese parent, which would need sponsor-roleplayness instead of bonders...
I know it's kind of confusing, but does anyone wanna do it?
If it seems that people do, I'll put up a bit more info, and we can get started.
I'd be up for it. It's been years since I've roleplayed a hatching, and I was feeling rather nostalgic for one today. I'd really enjoy a roleplayed hatching.

Samber, being the cunning and horrendously curious person she is, and having recently discovered a race of intelligent, space-dwelling dragons, wondered what would happen if she crossed them with a bonding-type, such as Pernese. Would the result be horribly deformed mutts, or bondable space dragons (would the riders need space suits?), or something else entirely? Somehow she managed to convince one of the females (a sparkly purple named Kuiper, though that isn't really important) that the species needed to spread its genes around a bit.
Since the Starswimmers can't land on a planet [one, they're not designed for in-atmosphere flight; two, not burning up on entry is dang tricky if you can't teleport; and three, they would collapse under their own weight] Samber arranged to rent a large-ish space station in a parallel universe, had the artificial gravity turned off and made sure there was plenty of consumable energy for the dragoness, and then turned her attention to the next problem: finding a large enough male of a suitable species. She settled on a *very* large bronze named Fitelath from a Pernseian weir, figuring that no one would miss him (no one did, as it turned out, especially the queens), and had absolutely no trouble convincing him that this was a good idea.
Seven months later, Kuiper laid her clutch of thirty eggs (small by Pernese standards, but a good deal larger than the average Starswimmer litters of one to five) in a storage bay and took off to rejoin her Spiral. Fitelath stayed on, taking an unusual amount of interest in his offspring (possibly because this was the first time he'd been allowed near eggs, his own included), and it is he that will supervise the imminent Hatching.
The bay is quite large, with soft dusty sand spread all over the floor, and quite warm--though Starswimmers have no sense of hot or cold, old world types do, so it was decided to keep the eggs warm. The gravity is set at half earth standard, to allow for whatever might hatch. Fitelath is curled up near the eggs, and glares at anyone who comes too close.
Do we need to have a page up and information about the Candidate ready, or can we just join the hatching and make it up as we go along, and then create the page and so on later?
That's no problem... the thing I love about roleplayed hatchings is just making up a Candidate on the spot... It's more of a challenge than having a few days to think up a story and a plot.
Could I be someone who had helped the project along from the start in some way? Like... an engineer! Or even just a chef, or...
I'd really like to be a engineering grunt. Basicly a glorified mechanic, but also does some brute force coding/troubleshooting. In outer space, somebody has to watch the presure levels and check the artifical gravity thingos.
(Could they wear navy and grey jumpsuits? I dunno, this girl just sorta wandered into my head.)
