..er, if that made any sense. You can read the old old info page for more detailed information. Basically, they're omnivores with a preference for meat, and are about as intelligent (and easily distractable) as your average 3-year old human.
Wild dragonets come in seven mane types. They are, with the first being the highest ranked and the last being the lowest ranked:
Rainforest - Rainforest dragonets are the rarest of all the colors, just as their habitat is the rarest of the rest. They have green bodies, red eyes, and wings of a brilliant scarlet that is speckled with varying other shades of red. Rainforest dragonets in the wild tend to be noctournal, but the bonded ones just sleep when their bondmate does. They have very lively personalities and love to make noise, but will (sometimes) listen to their bonded if they are told to be quiet.
Glacier - Glacier dragonets are also known as tundra dragonets, because they are often found living on the tundra during the winter when their coloring will blend well. They have white eyes, icey blueish-white skin, and icey blue wings that are speckled with blue and white. Their coloring blends in very well in their northern habitat, making them look like an oddly shaped piece of ice when they are still. Glacier dragonets are very quiet and tend to be rather aloof, but if their bond is a good one they will be very affectionate.
Desert - Desert dragonets often migrate to plains during the summer when the grass is bleached the golden color of their skin, so they are also sometimes known as plains dragonets. They have golden eyes, golden skin, and golden wings that are speckled with yellow and different shades of gold. Their coloring changes color to match the sand of the desert that they live in, but this coloring is the only one that can be bonded and bred domestically. They are very friendly and warm, especially to their bonded, but have quick tempers and sometimes lash out.
River - River dragonets live near rivers and lakes, where their coloring will blend them in with the speckled rocks. They have white eyes, grey skin that is speckled with lighter grey, and grey wings that are speckled with darker grey and white that look like rocks. When not in the wild their skin goes more silvery, and they loose the skin speckles. They are very calm and patient, but sometimes rush into things. They are shy around strangers, but are very outgoing among friends.
Grassland - Grassland dragonets live in grasslands and the greener plains, and will sometimes live in forests, but very rarely. They have light green eyes, darker green bodies, and green wings that are speckled with varying shades of green. Their coloring blends them in very well, and they are almost invisible when among the grass, even when they're moving. Grassland dragonets are rather average, with a fairly steady personality and temperment.
Ocean - Ocean dragonets that live near colder waters tend to be a little greyer, and ocean dragonets that live in warmer waters tend to be more turqouise in color. They have light blue eyes, a darker blue body, and light blue wings that are speckled with blue and turqouise. They have wild personalities that can change very quickly, snapping from cheerful to sullen in a heartbeat without apparent cause. When bonded they tend to have more stable tempers, but still undergo the mood-swings.
Forest - The lowest ranking of all the dragonet colors, forest dragonets are the most common of all the colorings and live in forests all around the world. Their coloring blends in well with almost any kind of tree bark. They have dark brown eyes, lighter brown skin, and brown wings that are speckle with varying shades of brown. They don't like very open spaces, and perfer being bonded to people that don't travel all that much. They have very stable tempers.
I've decided to do a little giveaway to get some of these guys out there. Might do some breedings in the future, too! These little guys make good pets for Candidates but can't become Candidates in their own right.
If you'd like a dragonet (or two, or three), just reply here with the number you'd like! You can request up to five. And yes, they are templates - gasp :O Ranks will be chosen randomly.
Oh, and here's an example (this guy's an Ocean):
