General Pedigree Questions

Errr... I should have done this with the raugie thread, but I'll start up a new one instead so people don't get confused by the title. This is for those of us chugging diligently away (between several-hour bouts of homework) on the <a href="http://nexuspedigree.pbwiki.com/">NexusPedigree Wiki</a> (nudge nudge wink wink -- it'd be sooooo cool to get everyone's dragons on there).

For me, that includes (apart from the Raugie question earlier):

Were there ever parents designated for the "-uah'kyil" Geperna given away in that exchange so long ago?

Is there a complete list somewhere of the offspring of the Wyld Whirl? Lots of my Wylds lack listed siblings, when I know they have them!

...that's all for now, though I'm sure to come up with more.

I don't think there were, it was a random name created for the giveaways I believe. All we know for sure is that they ARE related.

.... And, sorries, but I just cannot figure out how to use the wiki format, and won't be participating. If someone wants to go download my pages with their links on em I won't complain but I have way too many dragons to try.

Shard: What exactly do you have trouble with? I've never used it either untill I did that entery for Mystic, seemed fairly simple but different strokes for different folks I guess.

I've attempted to understand how to enter anything, how to start writing, editing or whatever it is you're supposed to do, and it simply never works. I do not know whether that's because it's not explained clearly enough, or because I'm stupid that way - I normally do not have any trouble learning how to edit stuff, but the wiki has so far exceeded my capacity for making sense. Dunno...

Besides the fact that *most* of my dragons are so old that many of the websites they came from are long gone, and no records are available very easily...

I tried digging up some sites, got a few like Sparkul Weyr's and logged them in my hard drive. That site's been gone longer than it was ever open, so i call that an achievement

Remember, i have... more than most people *combined*... I have 46 geocities sites with dragons on them (not full, just *with* dragons on them)... Tracking down all my dragons is a pain in the butt.

The password for the wiki is 'dragon', all lower case. ^_^ Feel free to go mess around in there if you'd like!

And to whomever tried to change the password... o.O Quitit! The password's required for /every/one to get in, so don't go trying to mess around with that!

JKat, I've just been collecting sibling names as they came out. x.x Drakiera doesn't seem to be around right now, but when she is, harass her to make a quick name-list, even if it doesn't give links (yet!) XD Maybe then we can get a better idea (and begin google-searching, if need be! XDD)

Shard, I know what you mean about having too many dragons (though I know mine are only a small fraction of yours! X3) to list 'em all. I think the way that you have to look at it is to start with a few of your favorites, then expand from there, if that makes any sense! With this wiki it's mostly a case of copy/pasting, but if you'd like a tutorial/faq, I'm sure we can come up with something!

I was planning on eventually having a fully functional listing on my own site, actually. I'd rather just link to that some time. *most* of my records are up. The only ones which are currently down are my Genrehopper dragons, the oldest of the whole bunch. The old records for the Healing Den are on /index2.html -> records link, since i haven't finished updating those. After I noticed how many people would move their pages without telling me, I gave up on a few for alabaster and blackstone (the few/one clutches there anyway).

Just ... pop me an e-mail with a list of what records you need for the Geperna and I'll see what I can do. ;p If you can open excel, that'll make my life much, much easier; I can crank out some mad geneology charts, then.
