• They are called Zephyr flits, and are only as large as budgerigars.
• Males have vibrant blue feathers and fur, while females have olive-coloured ones.
• They come in a variety of colours which are determined by the hue of the speckles on their back. The colours are based on those of cats, with a few oddities thrown in.
• They're egg-layers and like to hide, so there's a ton of them where people once thought there were none. They have dragon-style flights and each female will lay up to 10 eggs per clutch.
• Pure white Zephyr flits are rare, only about five per cent of all Zephyr flits are whites.
• They are as intelligent as firelizards, and can use telepathy to relay images and feelings to their bonds. With practice they can learn to speak verbally (just like parrots!) Until then, they can also imitate the call of any bird they hear.
• They can bond in large groups, as they hunt for themselves and require very little maintenance.
And here are the preview images - these are whites. Coloured Zephyrs would have a speckled pattern on their backs of that specific colour.
