In search of tiny dragons...

Post by Samber »

Leeetle tiny people are fun to draw, and I wanted to come up with a race that could actually ride my Ephemerals... thus, the Ekef. They're usually about 5-6 inches tall, may or may not have magical abilities, and generally just look a whole lot like tiny humans. No wings or antennae or anything, in other words. Just to give you a sense of size, 1 inch = 1 foot. I think one of Skysong's Samanayr would be about horse-size to these guys....

I'm going to be writing up a whole lot of them, mostly for fun, mostly so that if I ever /do/ anything with the Ephemerals I'll have a pile of characters ready for any storying that needs to be done. Right now, they're basically just stats sheets with little pictures.

Anyway, I was wondering... does anybody mind if I have a few bond flitters from various locations /as/ dragons--or at least as telepathically bonded mounts? It would be kind of cool, I think, to have almost a mini-Weyr type of thing... or, if there are any clutches of very small dragons around, I might write a couple Ekef up and send them in.

Well, lets see... There's the second clutch that I have on the main sands - the Scattarmini Tek-lia x Sake Selampotato. Plus! If you go into the "Lights" heading, there's some 'flits' of mine called the Chanis that are completely intelligent and able to speak and be candidates themselves, so if you want to use some of them... *grins* Or you can ask nicely (and write a bit of story-ness) if you don't see a color combination you like there, and ask me to color up a certain set of colors. Heck, if you want to, write a few up, ask for special colors of Chanis, and I'll write a mini-hatching (in all forms of the word involved here *laughs*)

Hm, I could post some click-and-take Wild Dragonets if you're interested.. they're about crow-sized. Here's some old examples if you want idea of what they look like (Wilds are the ones with a pair of legs and a pair of wings):

I wouldn't mind any of the Healing Den's flitters being used that way. I'm sure that over the many years of breeding them, someone would have bred some sense into their little heads. :D

I have little three-foot long weyvern types- they might be purrfect. There's one in sargon's B-day thread, and I'm trying to make a couple more images before I adopt them out for real, but I could make you a couple like that one for you, in any colors you like.

EDIT: brain fart, sorry.

I wouldn't mind if you used the flitters, 'specially since you drew them. Also, I could draw up a few Ashatan Minis if you like.....

The bunny dragons would probably work, size-wise. I could hold a clutch of them, if you wanted to write some candidates.

*oogles all the purty little dragons, especially the cute ones and the fuzzy ones and the ones with little feetses...wait, that's all of them XD*

Must... finish... itty-bitty candidates.... :D I've only got 'em on paper so far.... *watches her newly-discovered muse poke the piccies and make up a 'shopping list' consisting of "That one, and that one, and ooooooooh yes THAT one! and that one and..."*

...and here is my first-ever page made using CSS (20th attempt, tho'... took forever to get it to look right), to give y'all sort of a feel for my leetle peeples. http://www.geocities.com/mintlilly/temp ... meraya.htm

Storyness shall be forthcoming, but I wanted to get a few things worked out... she will be the Weyrwoman-type person for whenever I get started with the Ekef and Ephemerals.

Hee, the smallest dragon I have (or will have once they're actually grown), is Tayenden's Aaleth from Airhyth's clutch! Smallest Green at Falas! :D

I don't know if they're tiny, but Lantessama's summer clutch is going to close in a few days, and they only have 2 entrants. You might check up on that.

No, she just sent an update through both the kp group and her own. So I know they're there, just... probably busy. Neither of them have shown up here particularly.
