Re: Pernese/Old World Basics

Glad you two like them. :) Kit, I was worried you'd be upset with her personality so I am extremely relieved you think she's as fun as I do. Deviant golds are far more fun than another cookie cutter "I am regal" one, in my opinion. Dray, you have no idea how smug I was when that worked out...

Re: Old-Fashioned Old World Giveaway

It seems like a lot of effort to go through all those clutches just to be sad!

I've been reformatting all my pedigrees lately and it's rather tempting to not even bother to link parents/kids/offspring that I don't have because keeping those links current is extremely time consuming.

Pernese/Old World Basics

In the spirit of finally drawing a template that doesn't make me want to gouge my eyes out (as much), I offer you all dragons. Example image: http://characters.lambeosaurine.com/images/dragons/shintaru_grn1.png None of these will have lineages - yay new genetics! I would prefer to stick to the tradi...

Ok I can't just sit by and watch the awesome without taking more! Your Name: Delyar How many dragons would you like?: 5 Any particular colors you'd like?: I'm not picky. Do you want rider information included with them?: Please, I really like what you've been doing with these. Any other preferences?...

Yeah I spent a good 2 hours today being really irritated with Photoshop. It seems like I can't finish a template without getting really really aggravated and hating it. :/

..So they have two very different things named the same thing. That's inconvenient!

Thanks for the pictorial how-to, Dray. That really clears it up.

Re: Crit my shi... I mean stuff! :D

It seems like grouping does nothing on my Photoshop. It just puts them in a folder together, but the layers still affect everything else.

Re: Crit my shi... I mean stuff! :D

But the flood-filled frame affects the entire dragon not just the highlights, which is my main problem. Or should I have selectively filled it? I am confused. :S

Re: Crit my shi... I mean stuff! :D

Problem attempting to follow this that is likely very simple: I'm at the "set the copied highlights layer to soft light, group it with a layer filled with pale yellow and then merge it down". It really tints my dragon all strange and fills the entire frame. What am I missing?

My five are up here: http://characters.lambeosaurine.com/sedona/
No stories yet but I plan to work on putting something up. :)

Will you be doing formal charts at some point? I tend to be a bit obsessive about this stuff so I can keep track of them if you weren't planning to.

Re: PHP/MySQL Tutorial Thread!

I used mysql_num_rows to get the number of clutches that my query is pulling... and it's a number much higher than it is displaying. So, on the bright side, my table works! On the bad side... I have no idea what is truncating the display. EDIT: Aha! Apparently because I had my $kids = mysql_fetch_ar...

Re: PHP/MySQL Tutorial Thread!

The very bottom of the page is the print command by the way. I have NO idea what it is trying to tell me. Putting back in my code recovers the functionality of the offspring lists but they still don't list the full amount of clutches. For example, http://lambeosaurine.com/characters-new/d-template.p...

Re: PHP/MySQL Tutorial Thread!

I'll give that a shot later tonight. Warning: The code is EXTREMELY messy because I couldn't figure out a way to shorten it (especially for the S## and D## columns - all attempts at subsequent while loops with auto increments failed) and this table has a ridiculous amount of columns (I think it was ...

Re: PHP/MySQL Tutorial Thread!

Ok Star, another question for you because I'm legit stumped. I'm trying to do a two-column query and then make a while loop for it, similar to what I use for my search page tables. However, for some reason, this isn't picking up on half the entries that apply! I've checked and rechecked my format on...
