Hopping through the Nexus and using his innate magic and natural ability to slink through the authorities, Eluryon eventually found himself a nook. Well... it was rather large for a nook, but the name stuck as far as the hybrid was concerned. The blasted rock of the unforgiving crater that he would soon call home was black, stank faintly of metal, and held a poisonous lake at its center that was littered with the small skeletons of those who had tried to drink there.

Eluryon was happy to settle the crater and to begin building a home... until, at least, somebody else had the same idea. The crater seemed to draw others from the Nexus around -- not in droves, mind you, but one or two at a time, others of dreadful temperament and even more dangerous stature would slip into the hole in the earth in hopes of claiming it as theirs.

Their ownership was short-lived. Eluryon was sly and deceptive, and was (sometimes easily, sometimes not) able to overpower these surprised foes and drive them away... or destroy them. Kutchecet was a different matter. The warrior xenodragon was visiting his little nook out of curiosity, her small hive in attendance as well. She only became aware of Eluryon when the black, glowing creature threatened her Biran bond... and then all hell broke loose.

The fighting lasted long enough that even though Eluryon was larger than the creatures, they outnumbered him, and eventually the small pack of xenodragons overpowered him. Nobody's certain, exactly, how it transpired that Eluryon wasn't simply killed, or how Kutchecet maneuvered (or was maneuvered) into breeding with the hybrid... but in the end, more than two dozen eggs were left to gestate within an overhang, deeply coated in organic resin, and Eluryon was left to care for them. Perhaps Kutchecet figured that the eggs would be left to wait for more unlucky souls to sneak into the crater, and that Eluryon would be fodder to begin a hive. She was no Queen, despite her ambitions; mothering didn't come easily to her.

Whatever the case, Kutchecet and her brood departed and Eluryon was left to a doomed fate... or so it would seem.

This was the perfect opportunity to branch out, as far as Eluryon was concerned! He knew of xenodragons and how they worked (who didn't, who was raised in Star City?) and so he knew to bring sacrifices to the nest of his offspring. Without the ability to cement these unfortunate souls into place, the hybrid was forced to use more grisly means of confinement...

The next few weeks are better not written about.

What is important is that as time passed and the strange, phosphorescent spider-like creatures emerged from their fleshy shells and the life-cycle began again, Eluryon was left trying to round up several dozen burstlinlgs. The little bastards were quick as a whip, ramming through their hosts' chests and then scrambling away from the scene of the crime... as much as he hated to admit it, Eluryon needed help.

It was time to turn back to the Nexus.

Eluryon has sent out a note to the most intrepid hunters and gatherers of the Nexus. He pleads that you find and capture the burstlings that have escaped; just remember not to drink the water!

Xenodragons will be given out based on the amount of effort you put into your application.

There are six ranks in total: Sports, Drones and Warriors are divided into one-headed and two-headed categories -- a 1-headed Sport (white-skinned) xenodragon is the lowest rank, where a 2-headed Warrior is the highest. If you put more effort into your application, you will get not only higher ranking xenodragons, but more than one.
