Character Name: Delaun Eight Hummingbirds

Species: Liron

Gender: Female

Height: 6'5"

Appearance: Brown eyes, orange fur, lanky. Delaun is tall, even by liron standards. She has an athletic build, but very little in the way of muscular definition. As such, her long frame gives her a very lanky and spidery appearance. Her burnt orange coat is well kept and luxuriously soft. She dresses in light, airy clothing to best show off all her hard work in maintaining her coat. She enjoys accessorizing with metal jewelry, especially if it has a dragon theme. Her long, pointed muzzle seems to have an eternally disappointed expression.

Personality: Sarcastic, secretive, pessimistic. Delaun is a rather dour individual. She likes to think of herself as mysterious, but the greatest mystery about her is how she can find something to complain about on a perfect day. The truth is she is a perfectionist, and she has yet to find anything that meets her standards. She is constantly afraid of being deemed inadequate, and so pushes herself and those around her to always do better. She responds to criticism with sarcasm and compliments with doubt. To maintain her air of mystique, she speaks in a low voice that forces people to lean in close in order to hear her.

Bio: Delaun grew up with the Wildrose tribe in the Traxar forests. She moved with her tribe throughout her youth, but always longed for the once a year trips that took them close to the Warren so they could visit their dragon riding kin.

Delaun became obsessed with Siltek, the black liron who first bonded a dragon and left the trip. She worshiped the older lironess and determined that she would spend the rest of her life trying to be just like her.

The problem with attempting to emulate someone else is that no amount of effort will ever allow the emulator to become the emulated.

As the years passed, Delaun grew increasingly frustrated and unhappy with her efforts to be as skilled a hunter, as beloved a leader, and as intelligent a tactician as Siltek. Though she received a great deal of praise for her own skills, it was never enough.

In her later teen years, Delaun made a decision. She would leave the tribe and take up residence in the Warren. Maybe by moving closer to the source, she would be able to achieve her dream.

This plan backfired on her almost immediately. Siltek did not appreciate Delaun’s attempts to shadow her every move and informed the young lironess that trying to be someone else made her a poor version of herself.

Chastised and embarrassed, Delaun fell into a deep personal crisis. She didn’t know who she was supposed to be, and she had no idea of how to go about finding the answers. She became reclusive, shunning social interaction as much as possible. Though she still welcomed the company of the dragons. Their presence filled her with a sense of calm that her life lacked otherwise.

It was through these random interactions with dragon-kind that Delaun was Searched. She still felt a great deal of uncertainty about herself, but she would not turn down this opportunity when it appeared in her lap.

Personality: Zoe is efficient and precise. She is very aware of the responsabilitiy and pressure that's on her shoulders. She grins and bears it but will have the occasional breakdown where she needs a good cry and a friend to rave to.

Short Bio: Zoe grew up around Dawn Castle and studied to be a medic. She has a steady hand and is very adept at suturing. Her work ethic and nerves of steel didn't go unnoticed and the judges have her pegged to attend a mind pair ceremony pretty soon.
