| Personality: |
Both has almost always been strong and devious, Zedian has the brain-power to win the most grey-shaded arguments and the muscle power to intimidate those who aren't convinced by words alone. He's highly charismatic, but more in a faintly fearful, idolatrous manner than an inspiring-through-good-deeds one. Strong-willed and always asserting his authority to those around him, Zedian is single-minded about ascending the ranks.
He was with the Ampilae on Avengaea for a good two decades, working on achieving the bigger braids that designated more power on the system, before he, Frada and Ontaziona were finally recognized for using illegal fertility drugs on various Avengaean clutches off world to increase the number of crossbreed Asandae in the Nexus. Called to hearing and judged guilty, they were sent offworld themselves.
He's lived in Nidus Corona-- now Nidus Novalux for a little over 200 years, as it was caught in mists that isolated it from the rest of the Nexus and caused it to age at a much faster rate. He's quite old and venerable now, and has spent much of his time sticking to the path that was laid out before him as a young Ampilae: keep the braids of Asandus blood potent and blended to raise stronger powers. It's mainly because of him that there are now two recognized 'breeds' at Nidus Novalux: the Nitidus luxan, who are long-lived, extremely powerful, and (mostly) hail from Asandus blood. The Vetus caelam are (as far as Zedian is concerned) 'everybody else', which is to say the quicker breeding, more highly varied and much, much shorter lived dragons who often require human bonds.
Zedian is only humbled in one regard: While living through the mists, there was absolutely no contact with the outside world, and the only way that the Nidus was able to continue to function was through utter cooperation. Scheming was more difficult, revolt was lurking around every corner. Even his Goddess, Aska, was nowhere to be found to help him. Zedian lost his original bond, the Askan Asandus Frada Meridia, during an earlier conflict over more obvious attempts to segregate Asandae from other 'less powerful' dragons. Now he works more subtly than ever, and as he nears the end of his life, he's not sure whether or not it was worth it all.
