Necromancy: Taursius has a medium-low level of necromancy for a Hades Beast. He can see and communicate with spirits, though his skills in particular have developed over the years to resolve around the spirits of 'Christmas' past, present and future. These days, he can sense the troubled energy around an individual and help to guide them towards a better end. What he considers 'better' and what others do varies, however. Though Taursius hailed from a dark, cold place, he has to say that living in Winterholme for the last few years has changed his opinions on life and death. He was at one time a loner, but he felt the draw to this place when spying it in one of his mirrors, and has since settled into a place near the central heating works that supply the entire village with warmth through the permanent winter.
| Taursius' necromancy is an ongoing, semi-passive ability, and he had begun noticing that people of Winterholme's spirits were unusually bright. Chatting with them more than the actual living, he's realized that drawing together during dark times has strengthened them. It's a far cry from the hopeless dead he interacted with before he left Cretus. These days, he occasionally reaches out to those who have an despondant aura, bringing them in to talk to them (and he, being a tetchy introvert, finds this terrifying!) and get a feel for their spirit directly. He seems to be doing good work, or at least he can see when a heavy spirit is lifted... and those who have recently joined Winterholme are more vibrant than ever. He's not sure what that means, given that he worries their ultimate end will be that much worse a loss... but for now, he will take it as a win. | |
