Subrea has low self-confidence, and tends to apologize for the least things by ducking her head under her wing and begging forgiveness. She isn't sure how to take responsibility for her actions when they displease someone, less so if she actually causes any kind of harm (even if it's as small as a bump in passing.) Though she's stabilized somewhat from her incredibly skittish youth, she still speaks very little, and prefers to drink in the world without having to speak a word. She does best when she's by herself, and prefers a calm, quiet flight first thing in the morning to ease her nerves.
Over the years, Subrea traveled to Nidus Descendi with her foster parent, and she found the pace to be stressful. That Nidus was responsible for fending off attacks by monsters, and the stories she heard were nightmarish. The moment she was able, she began looking for a calmer home.
She eventually found it in Nidus Silva, where to this day she keeps a tree hut for herself and the occasional visitor. Without having to worry about stepping on any humans or fend off any rabid hydra monsters, she is quite content.
