Orrelate is a feisty creature, more interested in a debate than a physical scuffle. She does, however, know when to hold her tongue, and she is wickedly sharp and just a little bit witty. This has earned her a special place amongst the large and proud military of the Nidus: the Yautjadragons especially will perch Orrelate on their shoulder and joke that they are well-equipped for battle.
Jokes not withstanding, Orrelate's quick grasp of other cultures and how they mix at the Nidus has made her a superb interpreter, and she gets along with almost everyone willing to talk to her. Those who meet Orrelate get the impression that when she fights, she is fighting for them, rather than trying to win or earn points... and this is true, to an extent. When Orrelate settled at the Nidus, it was because she wanted to find a place she believed in. Therefore, with the way the Nidus defends the rest of the continent against incursions from the hydras and other foul beasts nesting the next mountain-ridge away, Orrelate has begun to feel that each and every one of the residents are 'hers' in a vaguely maternal sense.
