Functional Immortality. This dragon will not physically age or fall ill, but can still be killed. |

| Shapeshifting (True Bat). This dragon can transform into the form of a bat, with the only indication of its true form being its glowing eyes. |
| See Invisible. This dragon can see creatures, beings, or things that are otherwise invisible to normal sight. These may include ghosts or those under invisibility spells. |
| Blood Vision. This dragon can see blood within living organisms as though it were 'glowing'. In this way, the dragon can see in even true dark. |
| Fast Healing. This dragon can heal more quickly than normal. To heal a missing limb, it would have to spend multiple days recovering, and spend roughly 24 hours focusing its power solely on the missing limb. Such extensive wounds must be focused on before natural healing can occur. |
| Shadow Magic. This dragon can control shadows. which it can then use as spies, attackers, defenders, or transport. It can use this ability to an extent to keep from harm during the day, though concentration is required to keep the shadows around him, and this becomes exponentially more difficult for every 10 minutes spent in the sun. |
| Spider Climb. This dragon can climb and cling to walls and ceilings, no matter how slick or inaccessible they seem to be. |
| Weaknesses: |
Sunlight. All Vayamir under 1 year old will die if exposed to full sunlight (not sunrise or sunset) for 1 to 2 minutes. Vayamir between 1 and 100 take about 30 minutes to die. Vayamir between 100 and 500 can withstand about 1 hour. Vayamir older than 500 can withstand sunlight for 3 to 4 hours. None can withstand noon-day sun. |

| Need for Blood. Vayamir need to feed 2 to 3 times a night during their first year of growth, then once a night as young adults. By the time they reach elder stage, they only need to feed about once a week unless they've been exerting themselves. |
| Personality: |
Night Solace is a reserved and anti-social creature. He disdains mortals, though he doesn't take any joy in hunting or blooding them. He would far rather live in the middle of nowhere with scrolls and books, but his need for blood makes this difficult. Instead, he lurks around the outskirts of Nidus Silva, where the dragon-only Nidus provides convenient prey that can withstand his bite without perishing.
Night Solace is aware of the other Vayamir living in Nidus Silva: Tide Mist would prefer his company... but Night has as little interest in her as he does in mortals. Over the years of their affiliation, she has managed to convince him to exert some effort into socialization, and it has been Tide Mist's efforts which have given Night a few dragons who would willingly sacrifice their blood for his survival.
Night Solace is not by any means an unfeeling machine, but he is terrified of his predatory instincts, and finds them much harder to control when he is not also repressing his emotions. Therefore, he has trained for the last decade in logic and reason as a foundation for all his doings. The only outlet he's found which has been of any use has been through poetry, most of which is succinct but quite beautiful. |
