He's picked up a lot of music along the way, most of it extremely old. In his spare time, of which he has a lot, he pieces together fragments of songs from what he knows of a region, and works out mathematical hypotheses for their complete versions. He's learned a lot about Byzantine music, for example, and has a preference for complex chords played together.

Since he's new to Nidus waters, he is spending more time learning the lay of the land than he is in claiming territory. It's all relatively uninhabited, save for the largest island cove and a trench to the west of that, and so he's mapping and learning and deciding if he wishes to stay or to carry on. Finding distant relatives of other LochNexians is proving interesting; he's curious about what they sing, and wishes to pass on his legacy to others who have the mind to appreciate it.
