Appearance: |
Leva is a lanky boy, made willowy by race and by youth. He stands about 5'10" and isn't finished growing, and is built very lightly to stand on two long, digitigrade legs. His blonde hair is shorn along both sides and braided down the back, and in his wedge-shaped ears he sports two bloodstone earrings to represent his rank as a noble of House Garandevierken. Beyond that, he wears relatively simple clothing given the time of lack his family and home world are struggling through. Where possible, Leva wears black and red to represent his ties to his House, but after bonding Jiadenth, he's begun to sneak in snatches of pale colours. From his time at the Vella Crean, the young Aigard has also picked up trinkets from his friends among the Lost Children, which he wears proudly pinned to his vest or tied around an arm. |
Personality: |
Leva is a shrewd young man, prone to speaking with care, even when he's fueled by passion, or fear, or other strong emotions. He certainly has strong emotions, but to those who know him well, he is a source of inspiration because he seems to know how to deal with them.
On the inside, Leva can often be found mentally screaming, but that's because he's been raised from birth to expect to be promoted within his House if any of the higher ranking Garandevierken nobles should fall to the ever-prseent threat of the Baletouched -- sickly green, fiery corrupted zombie-like messes that never leave his home at peace for more than a few days or weeks at a time. Leva has nightmares frequently, and when he's left alone for long he falls into patterns of preparation for the next disaster. When he's around others, there are easier, more immediate problems to solve. "Play" for Leva is about recognizing threats and neutralizing them. For him, that isn't about throwing a spear at an enemy, but about making peace among rivals. Aigard are notorious for their volatility, and even in war-time, Kaarden Desius has been at its own throat for power and control. Leva, growing up shielded from the worst of it by his parents' affiliation with offworld Vella Crean dragons, is still hyper vigilant for betrayal.
Outwardly, Leva has become very talented at a light sense of ease that he willingly shares with others. He knows loss, and he doesn't make light of anyone's grievances. People consider him remarkably fair for a boy. "Still waters run deep" is a phrase he's heard said about himself. Ironic, he knows, given his insides are always set to "churn". |
