JEZKAR-BYAKKO

Name: Jezkar-byakko
Origin: Birthday gift from Lakota (~2006)
Gender: Male
Species: Hanzhineki
Colour: Black-Green-White
Size: Medium-Small (8' at the shoulder)
Notes: Like Schattarneki, Hanzhineki have names that are two-part names, separated by a hyphen. The last syllable of every Hanzhineki's name delineates its color, in the Schatterneki language.
   Black == 'kko'
   (The remaining await translation at the hands of Lakota!)
Abilities: Blur. The dragon becomes difficult to see, translucent but not entirely invisible.
Breath Weapon (Spiderstring). The dragon can 'breathe' a strand of sticky thread that can slow or catch its prey.
Poison Secretion. The dragon can secrete a deadly poison used to incapacitate prey with a single bite.
Telepathy. The dragon can speak mind-to-mind.
Verbal Speech. The dragon can speak aloud.
Personality: Bold and brash, Jez faces every challenge head-on. He also has flawless confidence: he will win every female's flight, regardless of the fact that he can't fly, and he will win every battle versus another dragon, even if said other dragon is fifty feet tall. He's not exactly egotistical or vain, and he's not intolerable, he's just very sure of himself. Very sure. He does, however, have a "glass jaw" of sorts: he is very paranoid about his eyes, and at the merest hint of injury to his eyes, he falls apart into a whimpering mess. Threatening to hurt his eyes is a sure-fire way to make him turn tail and flee. Then again, for a species that hunts by sight, it makes some sense.

Since he's burned some bridges (entirely the faults of the people he's graced with his company, and never the fault of himself), Jez has eventually found himself at the ends of the earth. Nidus Insula is the furthest western Nidus of Aleph, beyond which is an endless sea. He has learned exactly nothing of good sportsmanship, but the Nidus is so sparsely populated that if he makes himself insufferable, others have a tendency to simply leave. Whether or not this has had a subconscious impact, Jez' need of company has led him to make himself an okay neighbour (not a good neighbour, mind you) to the flightless dragons that roam the interior of the massive island. When he has occasion to come across one, usually he is so conversation-starved that he's too busy catching up and recounting his accomplishments to become truly insufferable, and when that tipping point comes, he often finds himself on the trail alone again. He blames this on the flighty sense of vagabond wonder his companions have, their strangeness something he finds charming rather than rude.
